Usual documents:

1. Copy of NRIC
2. 3 months of payslip
3. Copy of EPF statement/J form/Employment letter/EA statement if 2 cannot be satisfied
4. Copy of existing CC ages more than 1 year (if you have)

Should be sufficient. Some bank wants 3 month payslip. For some bank, 1 month payslip is sufficient.

Well, it depends how fast your application is being processed and approved. Suggest you get the form online, fill it and fax to the card centre along with all the supporting documents.

Quite a fair bit of places in Taiwan would impose a surcharge when you use your credit card. Do take note of that as it means your purchases would be more expensive.

pls call up the bank to make sure they know you are using the card at Taiwan from when to when. if not later, when you are at Taiwan, your card cannot be used.

Err .... please @leozai not to consider this method if you ever want to practice good personal financial management.

With CIMB you need to wait for a few days for the transaction to be posted before attempting to do installment. Do take note that your entire CL equivalent will be taken out and you have gradual access to your CL as you pay. So ... be really careful of your decision to spend.

Strongly advise to call the bank and advise them of your traveling plans ... your card won't get blocked by the bank as previously told. Likely the bank will attempt to call you and if they can't get to you then likely the block will happen.

No such thing shop refusing to accept Malaysian card. Just remember to ask whether they will impose surcharge coz sometimes they just go ahead and add a few bucks to the bill.
