My internet connection is very bad since last 2 days, on and off. Is it a Unifi problem that some of you are experiencing also?

My DIR615 seems to be on the blink again. Wifi signal keeps dropping. Had to "reset" (off and on) twice so far since last night

Hi Guys,

Im currently a streamyx RM88 per month user.

Well, i've been seriously considering getting Unifi.

But first I'd need to clarifiy something with some existing users first:

1. Can i transfer my existing fixed line number to the unifi line? I'd like to cancel off my existing line so that i can save the extra rm30 rental

2. How much will be my first billing? If i choose the VIP5, is it RM149 + RM149? For this additional RM149, is it refundable?

Looking forward for these answers from you guys because the guy at the counter couldnt give me a proper answer. Thank you so much

1. No you cannot transfer the number. Unifi will give you a new phone and new phone number. Just cancel your old phone line to save the RM30 rental.

2. is it RM149 (current month) + RM149(advance 1 month) + phone charges. Not sure what you mean on refundable, maybe not.

1. Is there anyway that i can use back the same number? it will be a big hassle for us to use a new number bcos many of our old friends, business partners, relatives are still calling our existing number

2. so it means that my next payment of RM149 would be on the 3rd month?

yushin, for your asus router, did you flash with dd-wrt or just remain with the bundled firmware?

no direct vlan tagging for this router?

1. Keep the paying the old line rental and you can keep the number. You could also put an answering machine there with a message that tells callers your new number for the next 6 months.

Q:When will I get my first bill after I subscribe to the UniFi package?
A:The first bill can be expected around 1 month after service is activated. The first bill will also include a one month advance payment.

So the first day you subscribe, you just sign the paper work.
At the start of the second month, you get a bill for 2xRM149, being the first month's payment, and also 2nd month in advance.
At the start of the third month, you get a bill for RM149 being advance payment for that third month.

Bills will also include any phone charges made under your account (note I'm carefully saying "made under your account" and not "from your phone" ... if someone's stolen your SIP ID ... and use that, it's billed to your account too ... *grin*)

Original Asus firmware, no dd-wrt.
I don't think the router has direct vlan tagging. well, I can't find it. That is why the HP switch is there doing the VLAN work.

Hi Bro,

May I know how much & where u bought the Asus RT-N16? How was it performance as compare to the current TM Dlink DIR 615 or any other wireless router that u had used before.

Bought it from compuzone in Digital mall PJ, I think the price was RM390.
I dunno how to measure performance as I only use wired LAN. Stability wise, it is much better than DIR-615.
