Alex, you had yours setup on RB750G?

My RB750G is running fine with PPPoE over vlan500 with internet. However, the can't figure out the vlan600 for IPTV as there are many way to work on vlan with this unit (bridging, native chip switch..etc). My Dlink is dead, so i couldn't sniff the iptv packet that dlink is sending for me to figure out how the IPTV network should look like.

There is actually a GUI call webbox which is one of the better router config tool i've seen for RB750B. Infact, the web GUI allows you to download it straight off from the router itself (not internet).

RB750B is for those who would like a better control over their firewall rules. Indeed it is one helluva router, but no WiFi.

I have the following, i bought just to test if it can work with Unifi. It was successful. So now want to sell.

New D-Link DIR825 for sale @ RM300, flashed with DD-WRT can be used with Unifi (PPPoE only, I can setup IPTV for you with additional 5port switch). Has USB port can be used as print server, NAS or backup 3G USB Modem connection.

That telnet command meant for masquerade. That was already done. I was more into the setup of ethernet, vlan  (or bridging). Need to resolve that one first. Masquerade works fine and my network can reach outside to internet, just the IPTV.

Follow your guides, I managed to setup the RB750 & RB750G with both internet & IPTV working, thank you bro !! 

Luckily MikroTik has the WinBox GUI, lots of features & information, otherwise I don't think I'm capable to configure it at command lines ... 

The setup is rather straight forward, just few setup screen out of the box:

Interface – create vlan 500 & 600

Interface – set LAN5 neither master nor slave [to use for IPTV STB direct connection]

Bridge – create a bridge for IPTV
[attachmentid=1810006]

Bridge – Ports for IPTV bridge
[attachmentid=1810008]

PPP – Create PPPoE client for UniFi
[attachmentid=1810011]

Firewall – setup NAT
[attachmentid=1810015]

IP – DHCP server
[attachmentid=1810017]

That's all, internet & IPTV up & running! 

Now have to figure out how to tighten the firewall ...
