Just manually set it to 100mhz, that's the default PCIE speed.

So is safe for my corsair gaming memory DDR2 800mhz 5-5-5-18 to run at 847mhz?

what i mean was, u can change any value in bios except the pcie value, some board default value was AUTO, while some 100mhz. just leave it 100 or if value auto, manually lock to 100

Tighten it to 4-4-4-8, if can.

Or reduce the freq to say 950 and lower the timings to 4-4-4-8.

In benchies for DDR2, timings affect more than freq

Your ram can't go for 12-4-4-4 or 8-4-4-4 for that speed, even said that if u want to go for 1000mhz @ 15-5-5-5 u have to increase your ram voltage to 2.1, those guys are using high performance ram they can go for that setting or they are lucky they have a good ram chipset. you dont have to ask at what speed you can go for, you can always try yourself with trial n error becos every mobo n ram chipset performance is different morever there is nothing safe for oc, how to classified it's safe, safe mean it will con off. nobody can tell u when it will die or con off, only thing as always said take care of the temp. n voltage, just dont over do it.

the ram value is X2....so 500mhz = 500mhz X2 = 1000mhz...so that means your ram is 480 X2=960mhz

as for timings..im not sure what it does..but i put mine to 5-5-5-15 since the stock is 5-5-5-15 for dominators @ 2.1v

your rams seems to be able to handle it as well
