So i just play with the fsb will do right? Usually how long it needs to stress test using primetest95 to confirm is stable?

Added on April 7, 2009, 5:38 pmBtw what's the most stable speed can reach for q9550?

i dont know la bro

i use my own way to determined mine..
after the speed accquired(after OC), i run cpu test each 3dmark; 01, 03, 05, 06 & vantage
if fail either 1, i wont stable for sure. can go bios & re-do tweaking
if stable can proceed to prime95, select the mac cpu heat stress

Want to ask, is it safe to run my Q9550 at 3ghz with FSB 353mhz and memory at 847mhz while maintain PCIE at 100mhz

Sure? Cause my rams are rated at 800mhz, and if set auto, it will push to 847mhz... thats another 47mhz load. Can my ram withstand it?

Just manually set it to 100mhz, that's the default PCIE speed.

yes i set to default 100mhz based on http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...48&hl=overclock

So is safe for my corsair gaming memory DDR2 800mhz 5-5-5-18 to run at 847mhz?

Added on April 10, 2009, 8:51 pmBtw my northbridge heatsink is kind of warm during primetest95... is it normal to be warm?>

no crash happen so far, just if you touch it slightly longer gonna burn your finger. I got side 12cm 90cfm intake fan to cool it. Should fine right? if okay then i try to push further(overclock)
