I think you miss earlier mention, but normally try to below 60c and not above 70c that is the safe temp for full loadIntel® Core™2 Duo/Quad Overhauled Rev. 4, The journey continues...

General_odin maybe you can try setting your hd accoustic to loud ( 254 ) instead of some come default at 128 accoustic. Go to winaam website to download the software.

QUOTE(Eoma @ Feb 1 2009, 11:25 AM) Hmmm...my q9550 @ 3.4Ghz is perhaps a bit too hot at 74c after 15min small FFT. The best way to have a better temp is to lapped your heatsink n proc if u know how to do it, just like mine when i was using true n Q6600 my temp reach 70+ when prime but after i lapped my proc n heatsink the temp was 56-58c when prime, the real answer is either your heatsink n maybe your proc ihs is concave or convex.vcore is @ 1.25v. Using a Xigmatek RS S1283 with AS5. Should i be looking at re-seating the cooler ? |

QUOTE(kilowatt @ Apr 12 2009, 12:04 PM) sorry for noob question bro, Your ram can't go for 12-4-4-4 or 8-4-4-4 for that speed, even said that if u want to go for 1000mhz @ 15-5-5-5 u have to increase your ram voltage to 2.1, those guys are using high performance ram they can go for that setting or they are lucky they have a good ram chipset. you dont have to ask at what speed you can go for, you can always try yourself with trial n error becos every mobo n ram chipset performance is different morever there is nothing safe for oc, how to classified it's safe, safe mean it will con off. nobody can tell u when it will die or con off, only thing as always said take care of the temp. n voltage, just dont over do it.i dun have any cooling for my RAM.. can OC ka?....btw which 1 i safely can go?...kekekke..noob meh.. 1000mhz @ 5-5-5-15 or 1000mhz@4-4-4-12 or 950mhz@4-4-4-8 This post has been edited by Dickong: Apr 12 2009, 02:44 PM |
