Hey guys,

I was thinking of upgrading my e6300 to e8400 but I dont wanna change my mobo (using 965P DS4 atm). Will that affect the overclockability of the e8400? Has anyone tried this setup before? Please advice...
*
firstly,
ur motherboard doesnt support the E8400 so u have to change ur motherboard 1st.

check mobo revision first... for example, only rev 3.3 of 965P-DS3 support 45nm & 1333 fsb cpu
*
yep and if ur is revision 1.0 it cannot be used together.
