1 thing to note that after Dec 2010, max credit limit one should have for the card is rm5k. (before easy payment, balance transfer etc.).

Easy payment better use another card cause no points and no cashback.

if calculate based on citi, i can get about rm30 per month

if calculate on ocbc, will get rm60 and above!, though capped at 50 later on.

I faxed in the Titanium card application Wednesday last week after 5pm, checked yesterday it was sent out on Wednesday this week (exactly 5 working days to process as informed by OCBC CS) but yet to received it today as Selangor holiday.

Satisfied with the CL assigned to my account, but then again comes next year the CL is not much of use since rebate capped at RM50 a month only and therefore CL of RM2K more than enough. Going to take advantage of the interest free period until end of year tho.
*
I purposely submitted my application by hand to OCBC HQ at Jalan Tun Perak last Friday. Yesterday I called up OCBC hotline to check the application status, I was informed they were still processing my application. It's been 7 days already.

Don't think Platinum highest is 30k so low.  According to the chart below, silver card can already reach 30k.
*
That's true. When I was still with CitiGold last time, my RM told me the highest CL for Citibank Malaysia was RM450k.

QUOTE(JamesPond @ Aug 28 2010, 03:40 PM)
Which bank giving free GST subsidize?
As far as I know:-

1. SCB, free 11000 bonus point to redeem.
2. OCBC, spend 10k per year.
3. EON, spend 24 times per year.
4. AM bank, join BT or EPP to waive.

how's alliance? MBF? Maybank? RHB?
*
HLB has also recently joined the generous group by giving free 12,000 points annually for 3 years.

Alliance and MBB do not give service tax reimbursement. For them, they would rather lose customers than simpy giving free points.

for eon card, you need to swipe 36 times with minimum of rm5,000 worth of swipes (ie 36 swipes and they give you 1 percent cash rebates, max rm50, to be offset with rm50 gst)...

8/18 was the day I faxed to them too and that was after 5pm. CS informed me that my card was sent out via courier last Wednesday 25/8 but yet to receive the card. When you last check? you can check via phone menu by keying in your IC and no need to speak to CS if just want confirm if card approved.

I once lowered my CL to just RM5K on my Platinum card. CS told me (if I remember it correctly) the lowest possible is RM3K. (or was it RM1K?)
A couple of months later (just prior to card anniversary),the bank raise the CL to RM8K. It's rather funny coz the initial CL was RM30K.

I too realized this only after asking the card agent.
Even though principal & supp share the rebate, I'm still gonna apply for a supp.
If the cash rebate is max out, the extra swiping can contribute to getting GST waiver perhaps.

SCB JustOne Titanium MC (no longer being issued) is better as cash rebates for both principle and supplementary cards are separated. Besides, principle cardholder can have up to 6 supplementary cards and each card can enjoy RM600 cash back per annum.

It was Saturday yesterday and today is Sunday. If the card is not yet approved last Friday, then you should check again tomorrow not today.

10k for principal and 5k for supplemental.
