I purposely submitted my application by hand to OCBC HQ at Jalan Tun Perak last Friday. Yesterday I called up OCBC hotline to check the application status, I was informed they were still processing my application. It's been 7 days already.
That's true. When I was still with CitiGold last time, my RM told me the highest CL for Citibank Malaysia was RM450k.
HLB has also recently joined the generous group by giving free 12,000 points annually for 3 years.

Alliance and MBB do not give service tax reimbursement. For them, they would rather lose customers than simpy giving free points.

This applies to PBB as well..

Seems to have many such complains since they let go of the 100+ operators in Leboh Ampang early this year.

Oh i didn't know about that. I hardly use my HSBC card - just called to request for annual fee waiver.

Any tips on request an upgrade to Platinum?

Primary card i use is Citi Plat as there is a dedicated less wait time number if i ever need to call them smile.gif

What is the credit limit of your Citi Platinum ? HSBC VISA Platinum comes with at least RM30,000 of credit limit. May be you can use your more than 1-year old Citi Platinum to request for the upgrade ?

Reread the sentence again, 20 days from statement date. That means as long as there is no carry forward balance, interest will not be charged if statement balance is paid in full 20 days from statement date. Transactions after statement date reflects on the next period.

But spend of principal and supplemental card are separate.
10k for principal and 5k for supplemental.

My mistake~ sweat.gif
Yes the waivers are separate.
10k is kinda difficult to achieve.
Will apply for 1 main + 1 supp, instead of 2 main.
Application of main card and supp card cannot be done at the same time, according to the card agent. Supp card can be requested upon approval of main card.

I got the propose for Mxxbank credit card through phone on march 2010 and get know that I only need to paid my credit card government tax at the end of the 1st year of using the card.

But it do start charging me the RM50 as government tax for the 1st month i activate the card at may 2010. So i decided make a complaint to Mxxbank on the number 1300886688 and finally the supervisor talk to the sales and call me back mention the mistake been done on the credit card sales and agree to deduct back the RM50 on top of these.

End-up I wait until today the deduction is never been done, so I do call to Mxxbank and ask complaint again on today 27 August 2010. Same story has been told to the customer service and end up the customer service cant solve my issue at all and just mention to me that the terms and condition of Mxxbank that having the right to change the policy of the credit card. I do ask her again are you sure that this means Mxxbank can charge any annual fee or maintenance fee annually of 100 , 200 as they like with this term and condition. So she say yes and I DECIDED TO CANCEL THIS CARD DUE TO THE SERVICES AND SECURE IS TOTALLY NOT THERE, AND THEY CLAIM THIS AS THE BANK THAT PROVIDE FINANCIAL SECURITY TO THE PUBLIC. mad.gif mad.gif

The outcome that i see from here is Mxxbank credit card sales is totally unprofessional BUT Mxxbank management do know these and never take any action about these. PLEASE DO IMPROVEMENT ON YOUR MANAGEMENT AS YOUR COMPANY IS A LARGEST BANK IN MALAYSIA BUT SERVICE IS TOTALLY LOWEST GRADED in MALAYSIA.

Your Company REPUTATION is your image, you NEVER CARE on it is just like YOU WEAR NOTHING WALK ON THE STREET and same to YOUR EMPLOYEE NEVER CARE YOUR COMPANY IMAGE.

WISH all other Mxxbank card holder continue Enjoy the "GOOD BENEFIT" FROM THIS BANK.

2010 onwards, any new principal credit card issuance will immediately be charged RM50 government tax. There is no way to waive this, although some banks credit some money back to your account if there is such promotion to offset the amount. Maybe you were mis-informed by the cc pushers?

Banks reserve the right to change their terms & conditions at any time.

Service charge is imposed upon activation for new cards, not after a year. There's no need to repost this rant over and over again.

As a consumer, you do have a choice to vote with your money. If you're not satisfied, just go get another card from another provider. Nobody forced you to get a card or sign on the agreement if you dont agree with the Terms and Condition.

I personally cancelled 2 cards with Maybank already.

Been doing some research, it seems you just need to earn more than 4k monthly salary to qualify for a Citibank Cash Back Plat Card. Can anyone verify this?

Which other bank offers the lowest requirement for their Platinum card? And is it possible to switch from card to another even when you don't meet the requirement? For example your salary is 5k, the min for Citi Plat is 4k where as HSBC is 10k, after using it for a year you switch to hsbc, will hsbc approve it?
