I spoken to Solitan boss in SG this morning, to qualify bulk discount, minimum value [any MikroTik product] is USD3k, or about 76 units of RB250GS.
More info as follows:

Without bulk, export out of SG unit price is USD39.90 approx SGD55
With bulk, export out of SG unit price is USD36.5 approx SGD50

Shipping cost to KL:
Approx SGD25 if only deliver 1 unit
They've calculated the optimum size is 20 units in a box which will cost around SGD60~80 approx SGD3~4 per unit

If you go SG and COD there, the price is SGD58.99 with VAT per unit.

I'm not sure whether you guys can hit 76 units or not  sweat.gif , it seem like per order of 20 units seem to be best price. nod.gif

Now, the problem is, if it reaches KL and kenal custom, how ? Anyone can "help" on this? icon_question.gif

Has the stock for RB250GS already arrive in Singapore?

Good morning all. Checking in after 2 weeks of Unifi.

My DIR615 seems to be hanging on. I only switch it on when I come back from work and switch it off before bedtime. That's no guarantee it will survive but I'm just happy it's still alive.

Tempted to join the bulk but cash is a bit strapped this raya month. Looking forward to yall getting freedom from the 615.

TM confirmed they are coming to install UNIFI at my home on 2nd Sep.

By then, I may need many SIFU's help (though I have read Riz's detailed guide on settings) if I can't figure out, thanks in advance.

As my post earlier, I intend to buy two home plugs as most likely my BTU and DIR-615 will be located at First Floor Family Hall, then IPTV to be installed at Ground Floor Living room, so one home plug near DIR-615 and the other near IPTV/LCD TV. Is the setup ok?

Another question, I need to do a bridge from DIR-615 to my existing modem-router (Linksys WAG120N), is it possible?

Thanks again.

Well regardless if you bulk or not, buying from Singapore is cheaper than buying from everywhere else. China distro is charging USD60 (not including delivery).

Here's the Malaysia distro http://www.landasan.com.my/mikrotik/index.htm . Not sure if they stock RB250GS or not.

Any electronic stuffs enter into malaysia shore will be charge tax by custom. If they able trace. I tried ordered electronic board from US also get tax inpound through courier. It could same to electronics from SG. Even you are planning to drive it to Malaysia from SG. Customs will check the car whether brought any brandnew electronics. If caught, it will charge per item

As far as we know IT stuff should be no charge/tax in malaysia. Same as camera stuff.

But then again.. i believe Custom will have their "own rules/policy" when they feel like want to "tax" us =)

WAG120N is a ADSL router with an RJ11 port -- as I mentioned in my guide, it wont work. You need an IP router smile.gif

Now we are not talking about a single item. It's bundle. You think Custom will just let you go if you were get caught with 5 to 10 box new electronic item? Do the math. If they really let go. Indeed they are blind or you lucky enough lolx

Thx riz for your prompt reply, that what I thought. Any recommended IP router which is cheap and reliable, such as Linksys ?

I am planning to go to Lowyat to purchase: -

a) Homeplugs - estimated RM120+ each
b) IP router - ?RM

Any other equipment do I need to purchase for the complete setup?

Thanks again.

Thanks D3vilsim for your confirmation:)

I just want to reaffirm before buying something which is useless, I need to throw my WAG120N which was just purchased 6 months ago when UNIFI is installed
