Guyz,how many days does it take to terminate the old fixed line+streamyx??
Submit my termination form last monday but until today still can use..Huhu

Unifi 20Mbps installation done. IPTV not done as I wanted the new modem to be installed in my home office where my router (did not want to use TM's router) and switch were located, while I would want to watch TV in the living room or bed room, and not in the home office.

Secured the TM router using the advice given here.
Reconfigured the TM router to be a VLAN bridge (as per instruction in the above link), and am now using my router instead.

Did a few speed tests, see results below.

After using another router, now I can get full and stable speed for torrent.
Thanks all for the guide. Looks like another router is really needed if you want to torrent a lot.

aiya... currently house is installing, and got some problem at the terminator there on a side note, for VIP5 and VIP10 shouldnt have any bandwidth cap or something

Get a custom router and do bridging, that will solve most of the problems.

Anyway just got my UniFi setup today with the HUAWEI modem instead of the ZTE

Going to setup my WRT54GL to be the main router instead of the Dlink DIR-615. Wish me luck...

I am noob in telecommunication network, have few questions as follow: -

a) My current router is of Linksys WAG120N Wireless-N ADSL2+ Modem Router, is it compatible to TM DIR-615 G1 routers?

b) Plan to upgrade from my current Streamyx Combo (RM 110) to UNIFI VIP5, it's still under 1 year contract, possible to upgrade without breaching the contract?

I have just registered with TM UNIFI yesterday, upgrade from Streamyx Combo.

I was informed, my current telephone number (8062xxxx) will be changed to a new assigned number (8051xxxx), do you have the similar scenario?

My current house is double storey terrace with overhead telephone pole at backlane; I have few questions as follow: -

a) How does TM going to lay fibre to my house, ground floor living room from the backlane, will there be a major hacking work?

b) Anyone installed at 1st floor where hacking work is minimum for d/storey house?

c) I have house alarm connected to my existing telephone line, will there be extra charge if I ask TM contractor to split a tel line to the house alarm control panel?

I'm using it right now, flashed with the latest release of DD-WRT and was previously running on DD-WRT. There is no VLAN tab in DD-WRT implementation for WZR-HP-G300NH, so, it couldn't replace the DIR-615 entirely. I'm currently using it as AP & router by setting the DIR-615 as network bridge.

Anyway, it seems UNIFI charges us upfront eh? Just received my bill, they're charging me for last month and this month bill, and that is close to RM300.. arghh..

Hi, I just got my Unifi yesterday
HUA WEI @ LAN1 ---> Unifi DIR-615 --> TV
HUA WEI @ LAN2 ---> Personal Router --> PC
Personal Router is also an old Dlink DIR-615 B2 (UPNP enabled and port forward done -> heck even if I DMZ my PC, I still face problems)

I haves problem with port forwarding on BitComet : Listen Port Blocked

And  connecting to the DC++ Hub , I also face the same problem - connection timeout - due to port forwarding issues.

I have done all the port forward and turned off all firewall and antivirus.
I understand that  the guide did mention that NAT would not work as planned.

anyone found a solution to this yet?

Hey guys how long does Between the day you applied Unifi to the day they come to ur house to fix ur stuffz?

There are getting more and more ppl signing up for the Unifi service.

In fact, when I called TM at 6:30pm yesterday, to enquire for the installation appointment, the earliest date available is on 1st Sept.  Today at 2pm I called to fix the appointment, the earliest available date is 2nd Sept  .  I also been told there will be no installation from the 7th to 12 th Sept due to Raya holiday.  The installation charges will be imposed from the 16th Sept onward.  Better hurry if you're still deciding to use Unifi.

But i have a feeling they might not do this and so call extend the promotional period. its common sense that putting an installation fee will just put people off subscribing and it will be a waste wiring up the national when little people use it. if they already wire up your street why make it difficult for people. but yet again i do not know wat TM is up to BTW

Sorry, didn't really read previous threads .. when you said WAN PPPoE profile, does it mean that you made the BTU as a router? Is there anyway that we could use LAN2 as a network bridge or something? I mean, all the non-IPTV traffic going to LAN2 while only IPTV traffic going to LAN1? I couldn't find any english manual on the net, there is one in Chinese .. but surely, I don't understand it at all

For me, my WZR-HP-G300NH is currently running on DD-WRT and I guess my backup will be to set it up as per rizvanrp's DIR-615/DD-WRT.
