Hi there,
I just registered with TM agent last week. Wonder normally how long need to wait the TM guy call for appointment or installation ?
can the IPTV box work wireless ?? reason cos my condo phone port is at living hall and my TV is at bed room.
If i need to pull cable from living hall to my bed room. should i pull Phone cable or network cable ? which carry more stable signal.
thanks =)

QUOTE(rizvanrp @ Jul 29 2010, 07:49 AM) 1. Should be able to but the homeplug may bottleneck your Internet speed (if you're running on VIP10/20) depending on the homeplug connection quality 2. Not unless your router can assign physical ports to VLANs Hi thanks for the answer & advise. My situation is my phone port at living hall and my LCD at my room. So the only options where can maintain good quality speed for me is pull the phone cable from living hall to bed room ?? or pull the network cable ??? mamakap,[COLOR=orange] thanks for sharing. I think ur setup can solve my problem. =) Mind to share which model of linksys u using ?? and the setting ? the TV stream speed ok after go thought homeplug ?? Aztech homeplug ?? thanks This post has been edited by D3vilsim: Jul 29 2010, 09:53 AM

QUOTE(akerue @ Jul 29 2010, 10:28 AM) My VIP5 installation happened yesterday. The appointment was for 9.30am, but because the contractor for the underground cable was not available, i waited till 3.30pm before the installation started. Finally it completed at 7.30pm, activation of IPTV took almost 1 hour. As promised i will update on the homeplug connection. My IPTV STB is connected to the DIR-615 through Aztech Gigabit homeplug, and it works perfectly, even the HD channels run without glitch. And my house is with 3-phase power. I have tried the homeplug in different sockets and they all paired seamlessly. So, yes, what Aztech claimed that the homeplug works for 3-phase is true. Cool sharing. thanks a lot. Can check with you will the speed affect if the homeplug is plug into power extension plug ?? Btw, what is that aztach homeplug model ?? and price ? when u bought ? izit from the TM installer ?? thanks Already apply mine..waiting TM call me but hell till now still no one call me. QUOTE(akerue @ Jul 29 2010, 11:01 AM) I am using HL280E (up to 1Gbps) directly to wall socket without extension. But i suspect with extension it will also work well, as i did move the homeplug to downstairs and plugged in an extension it still detected Gigabit connection (blue LED). IPTV only need 8Mbps, so i believe it will work on extension also. Bro, when u bought ur homeplug ? how much for HL280E ? Saw their promotions price http://www.aztech.com/my/promotions.html have to get one b4 the installer come install. thanks

QUOTE(akerue @ Jul 29 2010, 11:18 AM) What is the model of homeplug you used? The FAQ in their website said it should work in 3-phase environment though. The only problem with my HL280E is it is noisy, it generates humming noise which is irritating if you stand too close to it Ops. then i can use that model. cos the plug just beside my bed

QUOTE(akerue @ Aug 2 2010, 11:44 AM) No need to fill in form, just call and they will ask you particulars that they need. After that, straight away they fixed an appointment for me. It took me 10 days from the day i called to complete installation. thanks. I already applied 10 days ago. from agent. Guess have to call TM to check status. Otherwise just register again direct from TM.

QUOTE(mox123 @ Aug 3 2010, 11:57 AM) Hi, are you referring to Pelangi Damansara Condo? If yes, you need to provide them your condo unit.....I called them last Friday and they told me the Unifi service is available to my unit and already fixed appointment to install on this coming Friday. You just need to call up Unifi CS (the 1-300 number) and check aveyrhing including fixing appointment if the service is available. So far for me, their CS response is effective and fast. Added on August 3, 2010, 12:02 pmyes, it's true. When I called around 3~4 weeks ago, my unit was not covered as well and they told me will be ready in 1~2 weeks time.....then I called last week, it's ready already and mine going to install in this coming Friday. Did you ask the CS when your unit will be ready? Just ask them and call back during that time frame (I didn't wait for them to call back and apparently they didn't :-( so just called back myself and bingo! it's ready). Hi, Yah called them and finally i request them to make my unit available. The guys who answered my call "Faiz" is quite helpful. He manage to check with technician and will make my unit available and install for me in a week time. But he only manage to get my address and phone number and just my short name. izit enough for him to proceed my application ? If u also from block K must well ask them install together this coming friday. Really can't way to have fast internet speed This post has been edited by D3vilsim: Aug 3 2010, 12:13 PM
