haha..no prob This card was meant to be overclocked in the first place....
Anyways, when you are not playing games, do reset the clocks back to stock, or else the clock won't idle low, it will stuck at that OC speed throughout the duration of the time...
how do u guys solve the Overclock high idle clock speed issue?
i wan to use catalyst 10.7a and overclock my card in the mean time maintaining the low idle clock speed
not possible?
refer to this one, the only way ATM I think?

* IDLE clocks are high SOLUTION: Reset the clocks to default and you'll hardware will use normal IDLE clocks. (This ain't an bug it's an feature to keep multiple monitors up and running and fixable by simply stock clocks)
lol I thought only can find in Official driver site? never bothered to look at Sapphire's site for drivers dunno if they have one specially for 5770 vapor
That's why i am wondering if there is different btw manufacturer and official ATI? Who knows, the manufacturer twist the driver a bit and work great for their card?

based on my experience with Asus And Sapphire cards, no i dont think the driver that you can download in their website is modified so it will perform better.
is there any new card coming? boring ler idle quite sometimes..
There are rumors on the Southern Islands (HD6xxx) is thats what ur looking for otherwise its just new editions of previous cards (check Sapphire HD5770 flex)

Oh but it does idle at low clock speed currently at 157/300 hehe now using 10.4 driver only so its ok
I'm kinda confused here. You said that the clock didn't stay (after you overclock) infact it downclock to 157/300 when idle?
It's not possible with MSI afterburner for sure. The only way you can achieve that is by modding the GC bios. I'm sorry if I said anything wrong. Enlighten me please.

There u go, just so u know, I also dunno y this can happen when everyone says it shouldn't downclock

this happened at their HD2600XT before,no official driver will fix the bugs..only driver from sapphire site will do..

Found the answer for it. It seems like 10.5 onwards ATI messed up with the driver. But I guess your fan speed stays the same (before and after you push your GPU)

this is because you havent change anything yet in msi afterburner, you just open it and thats all. If you change it and click apply, it will stay at your defined setting, it wont downclock itself
