Not sure on that, but ATI definitely have to drop their prices for the 5850 and especially the affected 5830
|

Anandtech reviews, GTX460 is damn close to the 5850
Just lose out more in 2560x1600 resolutions, lower than that, it is very close  |

The chips used are the same
Just that different manufacturers have different types of PCBs, cooling and etc etc |
