i can gaming with high settings with 5770+CCC 10.7..no crash 4 now but i got crashing before,its due to my RAM timing..too tight,loosen a bit then OK..if i'm not mistaken,this game also utilize 4 cores..

How come you already draw a conclusion when you say your are not even sure what's causing the crashes in BC2.

Well, I don't think the version of drivers factor majorly when taking into account of overclocking the 5850...
Any drivers from 10.3 to 10.7 can do the job successfully.
I used to like the 10.4, but 10.7 scores a bit higher fps with benchmarks.

In a perspective, It's not what's the best drivers for this card, but what's the best driver for gaming usage up to August 2010 that is to be concerned.
The best driver should be the one that doesn't increase the GPU temp while still offer decent performance and stability. And importantly, offers a highest GPU utilization when gaming.

The 10.4 was great for overall gaming playability, but lack for example, VLC rendering via GPU instead of CPU that the 10.7 offers.

This PSU, while capable of 500W, gets electrically noisy when loaded. Since it loaded by a HD5850 while gaming, and noise can be damaging to components. Get a quality PSU Antec, Corsair and Enermax

About the CM, yeah there is 2 version, The Extreme Power 500W and the Extreme Power Plus 500W.
Either way both are unrecommended for the 5850, only has one 6-pin PCIE plug, a lesser card like the 5770 could settle with that PSU but the more powerful 5850 deserve proper 80Plus PSUs...


I understand that you are tighten on the budget since you bought that RM1000 graphic card, but still, a decent budget for PSU should be minimum around RM300+

Look for 2nd hand PSU if really tight on budget. It helps a lot
