How come if i use MSI Afterburner to OC.. the clocks never go down when idle? clock stays at 900/1300 lol.. PowerPlay bug? Im using the modded TWL drivers btw..

Not happening to me (thx goodness) gpu idle will have clocks less than 200 but i'm on official catalyst 10.4 (reverted from 10.7 as i registered higher temps on idle)
I dare not try modded driver atm

if im at stock 850/1250 it will downclock.. which its supposed to do..

V10.7 still stay at higher idle clock when u oc'ed the card. But it will stay at lower idle when it is not oc'ed.
I read a lot that the higher idle clock is not bug but to solve the flicker issue.

It's used to solve the flickering issues on multiple display setups.
But, why it must affect the OCing. =.=! Pure stupid by ATi Team I would say. Their Driver Team should be fired in no time.

yeah they need to be fired. when their cards are so strong!! but the drivers abit sucks

my clock also never go down bro,always stay at 910/1205...need to manually reset the setting,very leceh maa...

Since i am using PowerColor card, is it better to use their website driver? Just wanna know what is the different btw manufacturer and official ATI. PowerColor site only have V10.6 instead of the latest V10.7. I notice also, Powercolor have different link for the HD5800, HD5700 etc series while ATI official have only 1 universal driver for HD5XXX, HD4XXX etc series.

Well im on Asus 10.7 .. and the clocks still remains high when OCed and it will be idle on non-oc (850/1200)..

I guess it's the CCC10.7 .. damn it.. i felt somehow regretted buying the ATi HD5770.. damn issue in BFBC2 never resolve (throttle/lag at start when in game).. Even my laptop 9600m gt don't have this throttle/lag at start when in the game..

If that was 2nd hand better check it is faulty card or not

cause even 2nd hand ppl only let go at abt 600 or more

i strongly suggesting you get the Catalyst 10.5a, seriously, Bad Company 2 works very well in this 10.5a, just the only issue is, longer time to load though...

Anyone try on Lost Planet 2 benchmark ? I get error when running dx11 version...

Any one had a vapor-x 5870 ? according to review the idle temp should no be more that 40c ? If is more than 50c idle is it something wrong with the GC ??
