AMDAthlon, I think add 1 more link.
This, http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=322616
It's a Modified ATi Catalyst Build Section from Guru3D Forum. It's damn good I would say! Extra performance!

Wow, Nvidia really pushed out a nice card in the form the GTX460 (GF104). Looks like Nvidia finally got a good grip on the technical issues plaguing the GF100. At RM 699 for the cheaper one, maybe we would see a price drop of more than RM 100 on ATI's gaming-class cards.

Yes. There will be a price drop of all GPU sooner or later.
Geforce GTX460 have the performance of Radeon HD5830 - Radeon HD5850 but with extreme cheap price tag.
Most reviews show that Geforce GTX460 is weaker on 2560x1440/2560x1600 resolution compared to Radeon HD5830 and Radeon HD5850. However, I don't think there's a lot of people with such big resolution yet.

We could get it cheaper it seems <700 from sellers in the forum. Check this out. The 768MB version when oced could perform on par with stock HD 5850 at 1920 x 1080 reso. brows.gif

Nvidia really hit the sweet spot this time. A drop in HD 5850 price would do nicely. nod.gif

finally after 10 months+ radeon hd 5000 price war is coming from july to sept

Added on July 13, 2010, 1:25 amgtx 460 768 mb oced = 5850 is too much stress at stock it beaTS 5830

gtx 460 1gb at stock beats gtx 465 which makes gtx 465 obsolete

gtx 460 1 gb oced beats or equalizes with stock gtx 470 which is good for every games including crysis except metro 2033

Geforce GTX460 equal to Radeon HD5830-Radeon HD5850 when comes to lower resolution gaming or some FULL HD gaming. However, it loses to Radeon HD5830-Radeon HD5850 when the resolution is more than FULL HD(like 2560x1440).

Not true. Geforce GTX470 pawns Geforce GTX460(OC) for sure. Because Geforce GTX470 is stronger than Radeon HD5850 already.

gtx460 is fighting with HD5830 and gtx460 wins in almost all games. Im seeing AMD will drop the price of 5830 and 5850 .... good news to us, price wars
