QUOTE(swenv6 @ Aug 9 2010, 09:12 PM) Basically V-Sync is a configuration to synchronize your monitor's max refresh rate, generally 60 refresh rate WITH 60 frame rates/sec, this harmony will nullify the screen tearing. Practically, if you have high-end GC, most games will spike the FPS waaay above 60fps, which is unnecessary because the common LCD monitor can't refresh the frames above 60 anyways...plus no need to burden the GC with unnecessary excess fps (those extra fps above 60fps mark).. Although this statement is debatable, in the long run V-sync should saves your gc from excess heat, electricity and life longevity.. but of course depends on the excess fps, like for example, above 100fps+. |

QUOTE(selferino @ Aug 9 2010, 05:29 AM) when game reaches 60 fps above, basically no difference liow... you may enjoy the over hundreds of frame rate however you will face the screen tearing if your VSync not turn on So when you know your card is Over killing, then it is really time to enjoy the raw power of constant 60fps with everything in high setting mode and v-sync on.... Added on August 10, 2010, 9:04 am QUOTE(seraph8660 @ Aug 7 2010, 11:14 AM) hi ATI sifu.. i hav some questions here. extreme power powersupply is not really a good option for graphic card players... lower efficiency.... go for true power ler...if possible invest more in power supply like 750Wtt or 800Watt....any graphic card comes also no problem.will CM 460W EXTREME POWER sufficient enough to support HD 5750? and hows the 6-pin PCI Express works? where did the connector connect to? sorry for the newb question coz i never use ATI card. but i'm thinking to join this big family.. I was told before that enabling v-sync for FPS games (CoD, BC, etc) is no good since it will skip frames which means .even if there was a little tearing, smoothness of the game and instantaneous response to mouse commands are more important. Vsync enabled can produce input lag on some game titles.
Just my 2 cents~ |

The guy would only pay for a HD 5750 and you want to suggest him an 800W PSU that's more suited for dual HD 5870? The CM 460W would be enough. The HD 5750's TDP is only 84W. It may even be possible to go dual HD 5750 if you want. |

If you want to play safe, then, take 450Watt PSU(True Power) or above. |

HD5670 enough to play most of the latest games in high to mid-high settings for 18.5" LCD monitor, if you want max out every game, its better to go with HD5750. not sure what you meant by 3D, the games I play are all 3D games not 2D side scrolling lol
If by 3D you mean playing on triple monitors with 3D glasses, then that is totally up to you. Personally tho, I think the price on nvidia's 3d triple monitor feature thing would be way expensive |

Depends on the game and your screen resolution. 18.5" is not a very meaningful value. The HD 5750 would be a significant step forward in performance and more likely to give you what you want. The 512MB variants can be had for around RM 400. |

If you want something like 3D Vision using active glasses, then can't help it. But something like 3D Vision Discover, maybe you want to add iZ3D to your ATI |
