QUOTE(redforest @ Aug 21 2010, 06:12 PM) yes they reconfigured 175.145's routing to China last week. what u all did to streamyx make them change 175.145 routing?as for 218.111, but after they reconfigured 175.145's routing, I asked solarmystic to test and apparently routing to China on 218.111 is still good. lolx |

Just called 100 regarding my premium ip issue, still not resolved after 11-12 days.
kael90, go to TMPoint and give them your home tel number. They should be able to tell you if its available or not. |

QUOTE(sg999 @ Aug 21 2010, 07:33 PM) my initial request was to change my primary ip range back to 218.111, but they said it's *impossible* to be done as 218.111 is not assigned to my dslam anymore. i had been calling them everday for one week, they kept telling me they're working on the issue on the 175.145 ip range, but the problem still wasn't solved after one week so I decided to file a complaint to MCMC, and one day later routing to china and general download speed (my city, yeah the whole city, was also having download speed problem during that one week) were fixed. I don't know did it have anything to do with the complaint, maybe they were already working hard on the issue, or maybe they started working on the issue after the complaint |

Just contacted level 2 female staff, she claims all 175.x is premium range and that I am already in premium ip range.
I told her I am receiving following ranges. 175.137 175.138 175.144 115.132 115.134 118.100 118.101 60.52 124.13 She claims any 175 range I am able to receive is consider premium regardless of not getting 218. I told her I can still get into other ranges besides 175., you know what she said? She said just reconnect until you get 175. Can any 1mb user get 175? She claims no 1mb user is able to get it and ask me to give her any 1mb user's username as proof. Talk about bullshit. I still haven't able to get into 218.111 / 218.208 / 175.145 ranges at all which I could previously. Update: Just received a call from TM, they claim that they will resolve this issue by today and set my account to just 218 & 175. Will see how it goes... guys, anyone of you had situation like mine before
i just upgraded my line to BB 1MB as tMpoint said my area 4MB port is full. After they changed my speed, i notice my SNR margin and attenuation is damn good now. It was capped at 2mb but the max attainable rate shown in the modem page was 26mb. does this mean they have changed my port to a better one? feel like going to tmpoint and trying my luck for 4mb again now that they have changed my port. |

Speed up here at George Town is very unstable, some ip are fast, some are just... plain dead, for some reasons some p2p torrents just won't "catch on" (slower than my previous 1mbps 60.xx ips), and yet some will peak at above 450kbyte/sec. I can only get 218.111 and 175.145, but the 218.111 seems like the first choice because I can only get 175.145 during office hours and evening peaks.
Cable distance to DSLAM port (located at TM's exchange building next to Komtar) is less than 1km, port downstream cap is at 5mbps, but mode is interleaved. Downstream SNR margin is usually in the range of 25dB to 33dB, line attenuation is 11dB. Have not bothered to set up the free D-Link DSL-2640B yet, still on my ancient Aztech DSL305EW. Question: Has anyone ever requested for the upstream cap to be opened to anything higher than 512kbps, eg. 640kbps, etc.? Here's what I got during off peak hours: ![]() |
