I think this is because you have either the Mobile Network or Wifi enabled, as well as Background Sync. Disable all 3 will help conserve battery when not in used.

yup.. the lip-sync issue with snapdragon processors but i doubt it as this is released together with htc legend too.. legend is not under the same processor.. if the sync fix to be issued, perhaps it would rool closely together with incredible and nexus 1.. The ram issue where the system does not allocate the total amount.. mine only says max 398 with 250max free ram.. it should be allocated max higher as the desire is provided with 576... but some ppl does say that it was allocated on purpose to 400mb max only cuz the rest is dedicated for GPU processing

im cool now with RAM.. 250max free ram is snappy already indeed.. but i really do hope with the fix of the lip sync issue.. but who knows, maybe they would drop in an equalizer too.. haha.. but perhaps thats only a dream

And I notice that our "desire" didn't wake up when received SMS.
We needs to press the power button before can slide the "unlocked bar"
so this apps SMSAwake will wake up your "desire"
so that you no needs to press the power button.

What is the largest capacity of Micro SD card the Desire can support? With all the nice apps (see here: http://www.android.com/market/#app=com.epocrates), I thought of getting a decently large capacity Micro SD since Froyo is on its way anyway.

Have you try it? Is it using network for chatting like skype?

There is a fix for asphalt 5 (Asphalt 5 v3.0.9) btw to who's playing.. saying that it is now running smooth on desire, nexus one etc.. loving it .. the previous one i tried was so laggy indeed.. hoping this one as smooth as raging thunder 2.. ppl always question on how gameloft releases game from a direct port from iphone to android as only milestone would be getting the snappy peformance from it.. but it seems like gameloft has ported it nicely this time

Yesterday went to KLCC to test Desire (and unfortunately being bang by an idiot who doesn't know how to reverse their car out of parking lot on the same day).

I find that the menu is disappointing. Hardware wise is okay, fast and sleek. I was hoping they can make software more user friendly. I tried to find contact for a minute without success. The htc staff that serve me also took 30secs and said its not his phone. LOL... the downside of Android is that its a bit complex, better than WinMo but still behind Apple OS3.
