When using SMS and touching on the "People" icon on the top right to select Contacts, the list still includes FB friends. How do you remove them from the list there?

Just got the Desire and charging it now!!

What is the actual warranty period? Maxis stated it as 18 months now and I am really sure I read it somewhere saying 24 months. Can someone pls confirm?

When you warranty your phone, you bring it to SiS, not Maxis. According to SiS policy, it is 24 months.

hi guys..i'm also a proud owner of a htc desire..the phone is great although the battery seems to draining quite fast...last me only one day plus..
someone on this thread was saying that their headphones are not working when connected to their desire..mine working just fine..

DIsable background sync and your battery should improve. For such a powerful machine, one day plus is considered a lot liow lor. What can you do on your laptop that you cannot on your Desire, right?

Disable all those background apps which auto-syncs every minute.
Really drain your battery like made. Just manually sync yourself when you need to, afterall you don't need 24/7 updates from your facebook right?

I just went to Maxis Sunway Pyramid to try the phone but there's no demo unit available

word of advice.. try to charge as long as u can.. i read somewhere that it is a good practice to charge for 12 hours on your 1st charge.. and welkam again to the most desire-able club! ekeke..

yes i removed the htc fb, i get better battery life.

is not htc fb drain ur battery..is the sync of htc facebook that drain ur battery faster

turn off data plan,battery last longer.haha
the phoe can tahan 1 day i already happy liao..

just got my htc desire today..goin to play with it now after charging for 8 hours..hehe

Just open any touch input keyboard.. press the setting button then flw the step previously.

the htc fb is name of apps? or u mean friend stream? if friend stream, can let me know how to uninstall it?

i saw a Obexservice in my running service.. anyone know what this is and is it safe to turn it off? (so i can reserve more battery)..

i think its better to leave system services alone. You do not want to turn it off
and mess things up. It is there for a reason.
