Those who just got their desire and is new to android...
Go and get an app called appbrain, u can go to their site and browse through the apps and then sync with your phone and install... easy and fast

Those want to check their data usage, go and get 3G watchdog, there's even a widget for it.. very useful
*
thx bro.. i've installed watchdog and it works like a charm! havent tested appbrain since saw some comment saying that it doesnt work on acer and not too stable..

all in all, if you do have any other good apps especially nice game, pls feel free to share! smile.gif

if not mistaken, the maxis staff at KLCC told me that our first bill cycle will be generated on 7th June..

but i'm quite confuse on how they will calculate our bill.. would it be from the day we start using the phone or our quote (500mb/1.5gb/2.0GB) will be reset every 7th of the month? anyone can help?

Go to Settings/SD card & phone storage/available space. Correct me if I'm wrong.
To free up more space, clear the cache inside frequently used apps (e.g. internet browser, youtube, photo, etc.) biggrin.gif

thx there... but how do u clear the cache? is it from the sd card & phone storage menu? coz i cant seem to find anything there..

Go to Settings/Application/Manage Application and go into every application that you need to clear the cache. Can sort it according to size to identify which one is using a lot of memory. Normally internet browser has a lot of cache.

Going through the manual will answer a lot of your question.

thx guys for those who reply my answer.. appreciated all yr time n advice that you've kindly shared... smile.gif

learn few more things today..

- When things go haywired, just do hard reset. Very easy but btr make backup to SD first.. (I have to do this because I cant seem to get my android n HTC keyvoard work.. only Chinese Touch Input appear)

- Normally if u just walk2 around, do nuthin but keep yr fb, mail & tweeter updated, it will cost u between 10-15mb per day of usage..

- If you're looking for screen protector or case for desire, pls feel free to contact AskarPerang (LYN member). I got no commission from him but he did gave gud discount so I'm just here as a gesture of goodwill.. besides, where else could u find a desire case & matte screen protector & shipping fee for around RM25+!

- The text-to-speech is awesome.. but if u cant speak English properly then just forget it.. hahaha..

I'm trying to find the best gps solution and other cool aps to share.. will let u guys know if I stumbled upon any later...

Cheers!
