Hi guys, just got my Desire and I must say it's really a cool phone. A noobie question if you dun mind.. how many of u ppl here actually charge your phone up to 6-8 hours during the first charge? I had mind charged for 4 hours already... damn I can't wait to get my hands on it!!!

To those of you who are suggesting to wait for Froyo to install apps to microSD card,think again. Most of the apps at the moment are only programmed to be saved to ur phone memory since we're all using 2.1 at the moment. So when Froyo comes to our phone,there's no guarantee that all the apps will have the option to be installed on the microSD card because the devs will have to update their apps to do so. So I'm just saying its not as simple as waiting for Froyo to install apps to ur microSD card,you'll need apps which allow u to do so. But hopefully by the time Froyo comes to the Desire,most,if not all the apps would have been updated to have the option to allow installation on the microSD card

I am very happy with the Desire. I never had Facebook account but when I got my hands on this phone, I thought I should sign up for one to fully utilize it.

As far as I know NO such issue - all apps will work irregardless where you buy the phone.
I think your friend mean the MarketPlace to buy paid apps - this is now no longer an issue as already resolved. It was an issue in the earlier release of the Androids eg Hero/Magic  as Malaysia is NOT in the list of countries approved by Google to download paid apps. But now can be solved after rooting and installed MarketEnabler or MarketAcess both are freewares - just download installed takes only 10 to 15 secs and you can access paid apps paying it thro your Msian Credit Card

i saw one article in newspaper saying that HTC Desire is known as HTC Incredble in US.. is it true ??! I dun think so...

I'm keep changing handphone every ... at least 3 month.
So I like my phone to be good as new...
So that I can trade it later.

And I notice that our "desire" didn't wake up when received SMS.
We needs to press the power button before can slide the "unlocked bar"
so this apps SMSAwake will wake up your "desire"
so that you no needs to press the power button.

What is the largest capacity of Micro SD card the Desire can support? With all the nice apps (see here: http://www.android.com/market/#app=com.epocrates), I thought of getting a decently large capacity Micro SD since Froyo is on its way anyway.

Any of you folks here have compared the Desire with iPhone? I know it's not apple-to-apple comparison (sorry, couldn't resist the chance to pun this) but compared in terms of the following areas:
- UI smoothness and speed
- screen image/video quality
- camera quality
- call quality - experience any drop outs
- speed of connectivity and browsing experience
- battery life

If it's easier, using rating of 1 to 5, 1 being "poor" and 5 being "excellent". So a comparo would look like this:

UI - iphone 3, desire 5
screen - iphone 4, desire 5
etc ...
