There will be a pre-order for the new SB series. Once I had the confirmation from the principal, I'll PM you. Don't want to hijack this thread.

hmm how do you guys watch sd content in astro? through hdmi or component.

been testing and tinkering for the past 2 weeks and i find that the component gives better result albeit the sq is low compared to hdmi.

curios to know your findings.

These are the revised settings for the 428XG and Astro B.Yond.

The last time I made a mistake during calibration by enabling Pure Cinema Advance. There is a bug in the 428XG where the Advance reduces luminance.

Please use this from now.

FYI - Unlike, the typical Hollywood movies, these movies may not appeal to everyone.

Only for the purists who appreciate the ultimate visual experience accorded by your Pioneer KURO.

Have fun thumbup.gif

yes yes hot hot hot. When I walk up to my bluray player or amp, I can feel the heat emanating from the screen. Warm is an under statement @.@ ...
My LX still runs pretty cool. Much cooler than my HTPC.

Anime shd be mastered to D65, however I am not quite sure. So I cannot confirm as I do not watch Anime

Hot? Not hot enough to fry an omelet tongue.gif

Honestly, it gets slightly warm like all electric powered appliances. The warmth is about the same as my laptop plugged directly into wall hmm.gif

Is your set getting enough ventilation? Do be wary of overheating though shocking.gif

Was browsing this the home theater forum awhile back. Wow, I had no idea that KURO Kakis had a makeover shocking.gif

The opening page is just amazing! Lock, stock and barrel! Not too many threads like these around.

Great effort from thread owner to promote inclusiveness thumbup.gif

Wish I can add myself to the list but the only Pioneer goods I own now is a dinosaur Pioneer car CD player cry.gif

I was at Desa HT, checking out some AV goodies. Under the impression that I was interested in the Pioneer 500A, the sales guy told me the usual blah, blah, blah, can choose between the wall mount bracket or the original TV stand.

What really shocked me was that he suggested that I get the original TV stand as it costs RM1,000 for the stand alone price~!!!

Seriously, ah???? shocking.gif
