anyone know's how to overcome the recent Astro Byond firmware upgrade?

seems that the pics are in Zoom now instead of stretch ..

can't see the subtitles and ppl's head are cut out ..

kuro settings : FULL

byond : Zoom

suggestions?
I thought my FIL press something and make the screen look zoom in doh.gif

and I did this to correct it

on b.yond = TV setting ---> choose pillar box
on the Kuro --> Option --> choose "Wide Zoom"

it will appear as 4:3 for like 3-4 sec and the TV will adjust to 16:9 automatically...but the Picture look not as good as the previous if the setting is wide zoom by the b.yond....

but some of the AVS forumer prefer MCACC over Audyssey wor, saying that Audyssey would not allow you to tweak the setting after calibration///

You can try HiwayLaser....tongue.gif

The non-Elite LX, to differentiate,

LX52 full model number --> VSX-LX52
LX72/82/90 ---->SC-LX72/82/90

LX52 belongs to the VSX family and is top of the line for that range....

Hey fellas, in about 1 1/2 years from now on, will there be any 42" Kuro's available? Seems like that is the one I can afford by then as now I'm saving up for house renovation works 1st.

I don't think so...even now the 50" KRP-500 are going very fast and need to search for it already....

Alright, see below the KURO experience disc. This is a KURO collector's item. Not for sale and probably not available in Bolehland.....

Today, I did a hands on setup on LX-81. The MCACC is totally different from Audyssey. However, it only measures on 1 specific location unlike the Audyssey. It's fast and there are quite many options to play around if you are very knowledgable in science of sound.

LX81 only have the MCACC but the LXx2 onwards have the Advance MCACC which can measure 6 points I think....and even after u measured, the Pioneer let you to tweak it from the saved measurement unlike Audyssey would not let you even touch it.....
