just want to ask.. hmm.. why the volume for astro wont effect anything? i hate to manual control my HDTV to reduce the volume...

anyway.. the best thing is.. it takes a really heavy rain to disturb the feed.. rclxms.gif

Sooooooooooooooooo sad
and a bit pi***d off mad.gif

today Byond installer called me at 9 am
say today want to come and install
then 930 am they call and say want to come now
940 they arrived
i open the gates
then waited for like 10 minute
the 2 installer never came out of their van
Finally one of them came out and said they cant install yet
seems that astro messed up the decoder serial number form
it did not match the decoder serial number
the installer said cant be done today
office close
damn..
was so close to enjoying football in HD tonite..
Astro screwed up..AGAIN
lat wednesday, installer came to install my 2nd decoder without bringing the decoder..
luckily the nice fella came back 2 hours later at 7pm to install
N now the Byond problem
So saaaadddddddd

You have push both button (OK and Vol+) until led blinking twice. After that u can just push vol+/- to control ur tv volume.

Got it, KK, Sabah: (a bit less than a month, schedule/weather conflict)

Comparison to Japan's Cable 1080i to Astro's Satellite B.yond 1080i (did not manage to test JP satellites' broadcast):

Astro handles fast moving sea/water/stream flow compression much better than JP's cable provider. 1080i on JP's shows up as blocks... Byond some blocks but very miniscule.

Though JP's cable adds lots of information to their video feed, Real-time weather/forecast for local and all of Japan.... multiple languages/multiple translations... and lots of functoinal interactive stuff.

My friend also got his replaced 2 days ago. As per my installer, he just received the replacement ODU 65 yesterday for those who was previously installed their Byond with ODU 60. I do believe Astro was trying to meet the 10 days deadline they promised. Thus when they're running out of stock for the ODU 65, they still get their installer to go ahead with the Byond installation with ODU 60 and get it replaced later with the ODU 65. This do created double job for their installers. Not sure if their installer can claim for the ODU replacement but guess I'm too kind to the installer whereby I didn't ask them to replace my ODU when the installer 1st came for my Byond installation.

Haha, good for you! So the same Mr Hii again came to change? My decoder got changed yesterday, and I think it was your Mr Hii that came to change. Have yet to try though, coz I'm outstation right now, and Astro needs to go through the activation process again.
One interesting note. If you need to change the decoder, the smartcard will be retained. So at the beginning, the new decoder will refuse to accept the smartcard, due to the one decoder one smartcard policy. Astro will need to reassociate the smartcard with the new decoder from their HQ.

Yup.. it's the same Mr. Hii that came initially to install my Byond. From Blessed Network. Good to know that smartcard will be retained but that's expected as I don't expect Astro will replace the smartcard everytime the Byond decoder got problem. It only the initial part to have the smartcard and decoder having macthing number so that it's easier to manage from their side for the Byond account activation.
