How many of you can truly claim that it takes heavier rain to interrupt the transmission compared to the old dish?

Any difference? It's the rainy season so..... tongue.gif

Rainy season most probably won't interrupt the signals.
But the terrestrial thunderstorms in the evening for sure have higher chances of interrupting the signals.

I ve already told you what the solution is!

The Digital In setting on your Home Theatre.
You need to set that correctly
I have the same set up as you and all works for me

Well i planned to move my b.yond dish to be as close as possible with the b.yond box. I planned to call an installer. I wonder how much to pay him to move it?

Mine a bit different. Using first code for Sharp TV. When press power, first thing that happen is remote sends a '1' button keypress to TV. Must quickly press again to power TV off or TV will switch to Preset 1 (which is tuned to my VCR RF because I have no indoor antenna).

It's the same issue.
You have 2 digital connections one is HDMI & the other digital audio coax going into a SAT/cable slot. The home Theatre needs to set one of them as the priority for switching when power is turned on.

hello peeps,

anyone of u still having the component output distorted issue? i'm still having it and it really annoys the hell out of me.

If you guys havent know, you can boot the setup box to initiate auto update to happen by pressing the on/off, channel down, and channel up button one by one (front panel of the STB, not through remote) or to put it simple, press all 3 buttons from left to right one by one...the STB will off by itself, and boot while checking if there is a need to auto update.

During that period, it will display a banner saying "setting up STB", through component it looks fine, the moment it shows the tv guide banner with the video...the picture starts to get distorted... geez still a little annoyed with this problem.

Any idea how to solve this component output mess?

Same things happen here. Sometimes when switching on the TV power using B.yond remote, the TV AV input will change to TV1. I'm doing exactly what you're doing, pressing the AV bottom on B.yond remote again. But I notice, giving the button a shorter press, will reduce the change of this happening. Me using Panasonic LCD. This doesn't really bother me much though. I can't wait for the PVR function.
*
The "mute" button also send to TV and not to B.yond box to mute the sound sad.gif

hey there, i posted later on that i tried on the decoder front panel buttons not from the remote.... you may try again and see

once you press that 3 buttons one by one, it will shut off and show boot...then check if there is auto update, if they dont display auto update, meaning ure decoder is using the latest software.

ah geez I take it all back about the HDMI settings.
I had it perfectly set up before.
I could turn the power on the TV and Home Theatre with one button and it would automatically select the HDMI channel input.
Now it is going to the TV input and I have to change the input (with the astro remote) to hdmi ch.

All I know is this has nothing to do with the B.yond decoder and is TV an Home Theatre related, possibly needs a separate post about proper syncing of multi devices over HDMI
