As a noob then do listen to us.
Do not use credit card to obtain quick personal loans, you'll quickly regret it later. The calculations are very complex since they are calculated on daily basis and it is structured to benefit the bank and not the consumer.

One forummer regret doing so in V7 as what started as a simple cash withdrawal ends up to a lot of interest to be paid to the bank. So ... if you think you know what you are doing then do proceed withdrawing cash from your cc ... don't listen to us. nod.gif

You can get the list in the previous version of credit card thread. AMEX has high overseas admin charge at 2.5%. If my memory serves me correctly, HSBC is a bit lower compared to Citibank according to the data provided by GHz  smile.gif

Let say i have owe 10k credit card now, what is the best option and plan to settle my debt?

If i choose 36months flexi payment plan for my 10k, and i prompt to pay every month.. Is this a smart move compare to traditional 18% interest p.a ?
Any can simply list down what is the pros and cons for Citibank Flexi Payment Plan... sad.gif

for 0% charges, you can go direct to the merchant's website and not go thru easyrenew

for eg, etiqa.com.my

It is not right to force customers using such ugly tactic. It was probably from those unethical cc sales agents or CS officers.
It looks like Citibank doesn't really appreciate you as a loyal customer of 10 years. Perhaps Citibank has huge customers base and can't really take care of every customer. Anyway, if you feel the cc doesn't give much benefit to you, you can cancel it as there are many other choices in the market.
If your friend is a Citigold or HSBC Premier customer in Malaysia, it is good to carry a cc from either Citibank or HSBC as deposit/transfer activities will be much convenient.
You will pay heavy price if you are not discipline and don't understand the concept of such scheme.

Why want to wait for 3 month? You can all them direct know the application status.

Still early to know you application status, plus public holiday between your summit and today date, you may wait another one or 2 weeks to call cs to check your application status.

Of course the best thing you can do now is look for a way to lock in the interest rate for a given period which can only be done via personal loan or balance transfer.

I just applied for the EON Bank GSC credit card using my 2 months old existing credit card. 99.99% it won't be approved but the customer service staff told me to submit the form anyway and they will give me some free gifts. So i thought well why not laugh.gif

I personally don't like to talk about schemes that would potentially snowball cc debts. However, since you would like to solve your financial problem and point your query to me, I would briefly give my view on this. smile.gif

What's the interest rate offered by Citi for the flexi-payment plan? About 10% per annum? I guess you can get a much lower rate if you opt for Balance Transfer or Personal Loan. For BT, I think CIMB offers an attractive.
