if you done the linking of your card to your gsc login id, u should see the bonus value immediately, however if your gsc card is an additional card from eon bank, meaning u got other eon bank card already , u not eligible for the bonus

QUOTE(ronnie @ Sep 25 2009, 09:10 AM)
How long does it take to reflect the GSC Eon Card Bonus Value when I login to my GSC account ?

the CS already pass me to their other department , they asked me spend RM600 by end of December to get the waiver, i settle for that , i only need my citibank card for borderlinx service , anyway they should consider waive for me since i have their card for 10 years already sweat.gif

QUOTE(hye @ Sep 29 2009, 09:13 AM)
It is the CS that does it. No need to complain la ... if they insist you to enroll auto billing say you don't like to use facility and ask them to still consider you for AF waiver + call you back later if they need to ask someone senior to approve. If can .... good for you if not then cancel card and reapply later.

Normally I just say I'll prefer an unconditional AF waiver and often I'll get it. The few times I don't get it, the CS get shocked when I replied then can proceed with card cancellation. What happen next is the long persuasion by them to get me to stay on.  icon_rolleyes.gif

woops, guess what they call me back today to said must spend RM600 in 2 MONTHS time, not end of december, if didnt spend the fees will automatically charge back sweat.gif

QUOTE(winner @ Sep 29 2009, 09:49 PM)
It is not right to force customers using such ugly tactic. It was probably from those unethical cc sales agents or CS officers.
It looks like Citibank doesn't really appreciate you as a loyal customer of 10 years. Perhaps Citibank has huge customers base and can't really take care of every customer. Anyway, if you feel the cc doesn't give much benefit to you, you can cancel it as there are many other choices in the market.
If your friend is a Citigold or HSBC Premier customer in Malaysia, it is good to carry a cc from either Citibank or HSBC as deposit/transfer activities will be much convenient.
You will pay heavy price if you are not discipline and don't understand the concept of such scheme.

why not convert it to MY PAYMENT PLAN?
QUOTE(kanethesun @ Nov 2 2009, 05:44 PM)
Hi there, have search around the thread, but can't seems to find the interest, might as well asking here biggrin.gif

I am news CC user for EON-GSC.

Says like if I going to purchase a TV with RM2,500, and the shop don't offer any easy payment plan, and on the next statement, says the minimum payment is RM500, if I pay RM500, I wont face any late payment penalty, but interest right?
The interest is based on the outstanding pay right?
so its RM2,000 x how many % of interest?

Just interest to know, hope you all can clarify this tongue.gif

QUOTE(ronnie @ Nov 9 2009, 09:01 AM)
It will take many months to get those entries removed.
When I did not accept their pre-approved cards, it took lots of month for it to dissapear under M2U.

PETALING JAYA: Credit-card users who are told to pay extra if they use their cards instead of cash should be aware that merchants are not allowed to impose merchant fees on users as stipulated in the card associations’ operating regulations.

“Under the Bank Negara credit-card guidelines, banks are required to display prominently on the credit-card application forms their fees and charges table,” said Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM) executive director Chuah Mei Lin. “Banks are also required to print on the monthly billing statements to credit-card holders information on the various charges imposed on the oustanding balances and method of computation of such charges.’’

A comparison of rates charged by banks can be obtained from the bankinginfo.com website.

RHB Bank head of retail banking, Renzo Viegas, said banks would act on complaints from cardholders on “unacceptable practices by merchants’’.

“For example, cardholders should not accept any imposition of surchange, report such incident to the bank or go to other merchants that do not impose surcharge,’’ Viegas said.

At Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank), merchant activities are continuously monitored to curb incidences of surcharge.

“Appropriate action is taken on merchants who flout the rules,’’ said Lim Hong Tat, Maybank’s senior executive vice-president and head of consumer banking.

On leakage of customer information, Chuah said: “We wish to reiterate that member banks treat customer information with the greatest confidentiality and not sell or use information indiscriminately outside the confines of the banker-customer relationship.

“Banks will not hesitate to take disciplinary action and report employees who breach laws, regulations and policies.’’

In fact, members of the public are encouraged to contact the ABM in respect of any suspected breach of confidentiality on the part of member banks, Chuah said.

Education in card acceptance procedures is especially important in cases where merchants face high staff turnover. There is inhouse training and continuous education on adhering to charges and security issues. — By YAP LENG KUEN

this week, went to eonbank to cancel my CC, the CS asked me to hold on to it first, although they cannot waive the RM50, they will do cash rebate promotion to compensate customer in this sense, and that the service tax is due on the CC annivesary date.
QUOTE(simplesmile @ Dec 2 2009, 09:08 PM)
The FAQ from UOB seems to indicate that the service tax is due on the cc anniversary date, and not 1/1/2010.
Read the Q6, and the A6.
