QUOTE(wen9x88 @ Oct 30 2009, 11:34 PM) today i just go ambank to apply a credit card. This is what happened to my mom's AMBank Real Rewards Mastercard a few months back. Since the card was mailed to our house, she will need to call AMBank credit card centre before she can start using it. But then she decided not to use it so she did not call AMBank to activate the credit card. A few weeks later, someone called her cell. Someone claimed to be from AMBank and he did not even ask for details of the credit card or billing address. He just asked if my mom has activated the card and my mom said no. Then he said he will activate for her and she can use it right away i already fill in the form, now waiting they send me the card and after that i need call they and aktive the card right ? if i receieved the card but i din call them. what will happen ? because i plan to cancel the credit card so i don want call them and aktive the card, but worry they will do something to me. |

QUOTE(zenquix @ Oct 30 2009, 11:36 PM) because today go klcc there, too many people.and then go ambank,no people at there. but i feel like ambank credit is not good. i prefer city bank. @MilesAndMore i don understand last one," It is better to just write in to terminate it when you have received the card". is mean go there again and ask them stop the credit card? Someone will call you on Monday.QUOTE(wen9x88 @ Oct 31 2009, 12:30 AM) @MilesAndMore i don understand last one," It is better to just write in to terminate it when you have received the card". You can fax them the credit card termination letter. No need to go to their office.is mean go there again and ask them stop the credit card? |

QUOTE(wen9x88 @ Oct 31 2009, 12:50 AM) izzit, they allow me to terminate so fast ? You need them to approve your application first. Or to save to so much trouble, you can just call their credit card centre about a week time and tell them to cancel your application. |

Read it here > Maybank Announcement What's your personal feel about this whole issue? I can think of 3 outcomes. Which outcome is the likeliest? Any other possible outcomes?1. The Government reverses it's Budget proposal in view of pressure from the public and card issuers. I cannot recall any proposals being withdrawn from previous Budget annoucements. 2. The card issuers absorbs the service fees. 3. The card issuers pass on the service fees to the consumers. |
