When I collected my Ikhwan cards today:
Officer: Eh, you don't have to cancel the other cards you know. You can keep them. Different cards different benefits.
Me: No point to keep too many, as the credit limit is combined. Besides, I have another reason..
Officer: And what is that sir?
Me: Najib.
Officer: Hahahaha. (Straightaway signed on the cancellation form, no more questions)

if i received a new card with a minor scracth on the surface, can i request a replacement or a new one? need to pay?

+1 I'll use the same reason when I go cancel the cards that I'm not going to use. Will keep only two cards Amex + Visa. Since I rarely go business travel nowadays, I don't need backup for Visa.

I suggest don't bother. On your first virgin transaction swipe, there will be many scratches already.

applying cc for the first time is so complicated, i spend so much time trying to decide which card i want it as my first

one question btw, let's say if my annual income is ard 28K++. can i apply for a card with minium 30k annual income?

platinum card does not mean that the person has high income
u just keep your account at least 100k in a bank and the bank will offer you free platinum card

I would think 100k in the bank are better than a person with high income

Better cancel your card and account. i dun think there is any point for you to keep them, even there is no service tax

I only know about the RHB Travel Money. Every time I wanted to cancel, they came out with a few month of petrol promotion. Right now, it is 5% off every weekend and 2% other time.
