we're referring to all petrol stations...not just Shell.
and yes, some cannot detect at the kiosk...must go into the counter to pay. I just tried that yesterday at BHP SS2.

My Amex cc had been rejected twice at both kiosk and counter in 2 different Petronas stations. Now I switch to Shell, hastle free.

And i was saying Shell's kiosk can detect AMEX, unlike Petronas. Plain and simple. Why is it so hard to understand ?

Huh ? Please explain. I don't think they have the same problems. Justone has ATM issue, pin number problem and the debit/credit function. AMEX doesn't have this problem at all.

It is already known for quite some time that Petronas kiosk cannot detect AMEX and you need to swipe it at the cashier. Some have also said that certain Petronas stations do not even accept AMEX, even if at the cashier counter. Thank God there is always Shell

May be the card holder is not a bumi? AFAIK, all Petronas station are not being given to non-bumi to operate.

Hey...It has nothing to do with races. Just use your Amex at Shell, and all those problems will disappear.

On the other hand, if you use Just1, it is hastle free to swipe it in Petronas, because kioks at Shell can't recognise Just1. Otherwise, you need to do it over the counters in Shell stations.

I guess either MBB or Petronas purposely do not fix the problems in Petronas stations. It could probably a measure to protect MBB Petronas cc.

Amex gold cc which gives 5x points for ALL petrol purchases will kill MBB Petronas cc that provides 5x points for petrol purchases at Petronas only.

actually a lot of ppl also boycott pumping their petrol at petronas

As you may be aware, BN ruling is that CC issuers are to give 3 days grace period from due date statement before any fees can be imposed, here is what I noted for payment due dates:

UOB, Alliance, MBB still same as previous.

HLB and DA have added 3 days for Payment Due Date from previous date, i.e. previously due date on 30th of every month but this month statement 3 Oct.

Just to add, someone mentioned UOB have been bring forward his statement date, well I checked mine and it is still the same for the past 1 year.

Anyway I want to comment on DA/CIMB stupid payment system. I have both MCW and VI and supp to my wife. Therefore got 4 different statements for each card. When I go make payment I have to key in each card statement at the cheque deposit machine and this also often the amount is not credited into my supp card (i.e. payment to my account only). Last month CIMB stupid machine cannot make payment for VI. So had to make payment to MC account and then call CS to transfer. DA sure wasting my time and money for phone calls. If not for the 5% rebate at TESCO and Petrol on 1st of every month I would have just put the card into the drawer.

UOB the best, key in my UOB Visa account and cheque amount and it will auto payment to my supp and MC accounts. Same goes for AMEX Gold CC where I do not need to key in my supp account.

True. Just a reminder to all CIMB Bank credit cardholders who have supplementary card(s), you need to make a separate payment to your supplementary credit card because it doesn't work like all other banks where you need to bank in the money into the principal cardholder's account only. I found this out early last year

Sometimes poor system and CS would really give us a "heart attack".

This is a different scenario. My Alliance Younique MC and Plat VISA used to have different payment due dates. I requested Alliance to show retail transactions of these 2 cards in a single statement and consolidate them into a same payment due date. And now, it really saves my time to settle the monthly payments.

Yes, it is totally irrelevant and ridiculous. Just like only bumi are given license to operate Petronas.

The card is nicely designed. Comes with a more generous rebate compared to the old OCBC Great Eastern Mastercard. You all big spender should definitely apply for this card but bear in mind that there is a cap. The maximum rebate for Platinum is RM3000/pa and RM2000/pa for Titanium card.

@Optiplex330 : DA's one was suppose to end April, and they extended it. Ppl are just expecting them to extend it again. =p

As for the whole Petronas thingie, basically if u wanna use Amex, go Shell. If you must pump Petronas, get another card, lol.

For my SC Platinum Business, yes there's a RM100 credit, but it may be a promo or something.
