I think the CS also dunno about the rebate, for instance-my case, my principal hav 'utilize' around 480 of rebate, but surprisingly my sup card had exceed the 600 mark, up to 11/9, it's already reach 634 of rebate..? dunno whether the stop the card because of this problem in their system?? any1 else experience this?
*
These few days when I login to view my JustOne statements, there seems to be a problem. A lot of entries are duplicated, making it difficult to track the items. 1 purchase can be listed 5 times ohmy.gif

When I called up to apply for the card, the agent also told me the rebate is separately maintained between primary and supplementary. This card is creating a lot of problems huh...

For my SC Platinum Business, yes there's a RM100 credit, but it may be a promo or something.

citibank giant also gives u 2% cash rebate
*
AFAIK, it's not a cash rebate, but a rebate in terms of Giant cash vouchers. It accumulates until a certain amount then they send the cash voucher to you.

Still, if one can impose some form of control on one's spending, CCs are the way to go; cash is so yesterday. imo at least =p
*
Just like the Europeans - cc for everything from taxi to a can of Coke at 7-Eleven.

In Malaysia, I hate to hear cashier counter staff say this, "sorry, we don't accept cc for spending less than RM50".
*
Not to mention they pass the 2% charge to the customers when they should be absorbing it.

I'd also like to know about this. Some say 3% ("Oh it's standard", they say). Some say 2%. I wanna report. How?

Now need to decide which card to keep, DA? Amex Gold? Argh dunno which to keep...

Anyway anyone subscribed to Digi auto billing? I'm planning to console to 1 card then use rebate "earned" to offset the service fee...
*
Digi autobilling has a RM5 cashback per line, including supplementary lines (if separately maintained from the principal) smile.gif

wanted to check with you guys, how do I add another cc into my citibank online?? As I've registered for the cash back but I can't register for Airasia Card~!
*
If you have a banking account (savings, current, etc) with Citibank, your card should be added automatically. If you only have credit cards with Citibank, you need to create a new Citibank Online account for each card. I have experienced this personally and also confirmed by CS.

Like you guys, it's time for me to decide which cards to cut and which to keep.
1) CIMB Gold Master (kept for retail promo) - cut
2) Citibank Gold Master - cut
3) Citibank Giant Master - cut
4) SCB Business Platinum Visa - cut
5) SCB JustOne Master - keep
6) Public Bank Visa (came with car loan) - cut
7) Public Bank Esso Visa - keep
8) HSBC Gold Visa (kept for retail promo) - cut
9) HSBC Gold Master (kept for retail promo) - cut
10) Alliance Platinum Visa - keep

I liked the HSBC cards. Got some gifts during approval, my first 2 birthdays with them, and some various free gifts during promotions. But their points ain't evergreen sad.gif

So I guess it's RM50x3 per year for me to keep my cards... ouch...

Just CUT my Giant Citibank card... let's see which card to cut next.

Citibank's number always give a round around.
Tip: Always select the Lost Card section so that you can talk to a real person in a flash.
*
Hmm, I cancelled my Citibank Gold card by phone but they couldn't cancel my Giant card. Had to get someone else to call me back few days later. Before cancelling it, they said got new promo now, 10% rebate for Giant card when shopping at Giant... knowing Citibank, there would be some terms and conditions, so didn't care about that and cancelled it anyway.

GSC online purchase also charge 50 cents for each ticket....
*
This 50 cents I think it's for the use of the e-ticketing service rather than credit card charge... becos if you pay by Maybank2U, you also get charged the same amount.

Recently I tried to cancel my Standard Chartered Visa Business Platinum. Today SCB called me back and said according to the terms and conditions, all SCB cards cannot be cancelled for the first year. So I guess I'm stuck with it until my card reaches 1 year old which is August 2010... bye bye RM50...

each chq cost RM0.15, and don't forget the stamp (RM0.30) to post the chq to the bank
and most importantly, ur chq might get lost in the mailing process or reach the bank late:shakehead:

hence IBG is the safest way to go

If cheques are a necessity you may consider some accounts with free cheques, such as Alliance Bank's AllianceSave. It's a current+savings account with ATM card, online facilities and free cheque books. Cheques come in handy sometimes...

If Mastercard/Visa is serious about this, we can report to them and they go to the retailer to personally check it out. Don't even need to buy anything, just ask, any surcharge for credit card?

I guess they don't have the resources to do so... but why not catch a few and slap them with a hefty fine to deter others?

I beg to differ. I personally like such system as this ensures maximum privacy. Some of us only want to view certain accounts but most of the online banking offerings here in Malaysia will show everything in our online banking account    doh.gif    Troublesome bank ? Yes i agree. But if that means more privacy for their customers then i don't mind at all    thumbup.gif
*
Actually I think this maximum privacy thing is accidental. PB requires customers to visit their banks on many things which should and could be done online. Like their online FD, once you requested for it, you have to go to the branch to pick up your cert. What the hell, the reason I place an FD online is so that I don't have to go to the branch! Hopeless. If I could go to the branch, I'd place the FD there physically lah.
