@ future : jusco now only accept maybank debit card.they don't accept other banks' debit card.

They do accept Public Bank Day2Day VISA debit card too. I last used it at Jaya Jusco supermarket 3 weeks ago while my best friend, who's a med student at UKM uses it at Jaya Jusco Wangsa Maju all the time.

i use it(PB ING master card) at saloon.they tried 3 times,cannot.they i give them my maybank,1 time swipe,settle.then i use it at other shops too.oso cannot.
There is a huge chance that there is something wrong with your card. Pretty sure all these problems will be gone once you get a replacement card.

it is possible the card's problem since u use same card at different places also encountered same things.
check yo card see whether the chip surface is clean, is it contain any 'dot'/ dirt with black or brown or blue color? any oxidize sign?
if it is clean enough, as MilesAndMore said, get a replacement card, the replacement card will be RM10.

by the way, regarding ING insuranse, they are not many information on thier web, dont know how would it apply for the user.

===============================

one extra question, i forgot whether i asked before, regarding the chip is for 'insert' instead of swipe, will it stil able to use the 'swipe' for those 'swipe' machine at some foreign country?

Yes. You can still use it in countries which are still using the old method to process credit card payment.

All the banks in Malaysia are using the "ang moh" format. Chinese always have their surname in the front follows by given name whereas it is the complete opposite for the "ang moh". Even all the airlines are using the same format. It is pretty much the universally adopted name filing format.

By the way, is John Diew Jun Han the name registered in your MyKad and with Public Bank ? Because i know that many Peninsular Malaysian Chinese do not actually have an official English name whereas it is extremely common here in Sabah.

It belongs to the retail category. Anyway, yours is a Day2Day VISA debit card right ? This card gets rebate on everything including petrol purchases.

Hi guys, will I be penalised for removing the CVV at the back of my card? I guess it's safer to memorise and remove CVV, just in case you lost your card...

Nope. You do not need the code to swipe your card anywhere.
Even if it's stolen, the person can still swipe the card.

The code is only needed during online purchases. but then again, now already got extra security as a verification purpose.
