I'm currently using Public Bank Electron Visa Debit Card.I received my card on 15/9,and today I went to the bank for applying the Public Internet Banking's serial to top up money to my paypal and I successfully log in my account and changed my ID and PW.I'm definitely sure I have linked my debit card to my Paypal account. I want to top up my balance but after I entered my balance and log in my Public Internet Banking account,it shows a notification as below:

Transaction Failed
This Request Could Not Be Executed. Please Register Accounts That You Would like to transfer funds from at your nearest public bank account.

And I'm logged out.Ihave no idea what's going on!?

Plus,I unable to get my debit card verified from Paypal. It says they were unable to verify this card. Please check if the information I entered is correct. If the the problem persists, please try to enter a different credit card.

Oh my,I feel faint and frustrated now,I never thought of using a debit online would be so challenging!

Anyone who is kindly helpful enough please give me a hand,I'm a debit card newbie,so please don't laugh at my stupidity. :\

1. You can't transfer money to your Paypal account using any Malaysian issued debit or credit card.

2. Enroll for Verified by VISA first via Public Bank website before you attempt to get your PBVE verified by Paypal again. You can register for Verified by VISA HERE. If you are not sure how to do it, read THIS first.

No. Not even with credit card.

Yes. You can. Just that everything will be billed to your debit card whenever you try to transfer fund to other people on Paypal or pay for anything you buy on the internet through Paypal.

As you told me to enroll at the http://www.pbebank.com/en/en_content/perso...ards/vbvmc.html I have done it.And I get it verified. But still, when I want to purchase from eBay and it will link me to Paypal and guiding me to verify my Paypal, and the problem still exists,it still informs me that they were unable to verify this card. Please check if the information I entered is correct. If the the problem persists, please try to enter a different credit card.

What's wrong actually? Again thanks for helping/

Yes, of course. If you do not want them to hold your RM200, you can always swipe your card at the cashier counter. This way only the exact amount will be charged to your card.

If swipe card at counter, means pay first like using cash or can fill first?

Hi all, i have few questions regarding Maybankard Visa Debit.

1) Let say i would like to purchase something through Amazon, will there be additional charges to it in USD?

2) RM8 per annum is for unlimited withdrawal. I don't need to withdraw that many times. From m2u website, "First four (4) cash withdrawals in a month at any Maybank ATM: Free", so am i able to withdraw my cash every month where first 4 withdrawals are free? Example, Jan withdrew 4 times no charges, feb withdrew 2 times (no charge).

Sorry for any inconvenience and thanks in advance.

for (2), you will need to specify you want the no annual fee option when you apply your card
default is RM8 annual fee

Just read in The Star, 10,000 free tickets up for grabs with your MasterCard Debit Card. Buy 1 Free 1 at GSC (no matter how many tickets you buy, you are still only entitled to 1 free ticket).

Miles, time for new V?

Yes, only MasterCard Debit Cards.

Visa have been advertising their Debit Cards lately on the TV, I guess no more budget for freebies, haha
