but they needed such information for their own security maybe...
maybe they dont want any problem when later on when they already send the things, me complain to bank that some1 use my card to purchase it n bank take back the money while their things already gone...
n maybe they still dont believe yet at our online banking...maybe

sorry for the late reply, just came back from overseas...
Confirmed. The mastercard promotion for the collecting 5 receipts is extended to 28/02/11. On the spot redemption will no more longer at Wisma Genting but can redeem at Aeon Jusco Bukit Tinggi (klang) until 02/01/11 (counter open 7 days a week from 10.30am to 10.00pm). Thereafter, only can mail in for redemption. You may call their hotline at 03-5635 1391 for further details.

can PB esso debit card be linked to my PB saving account, what i know it got another account and function like a prepaid, if i want directly debit from my saving account can or not?

I think you can set up a standing instruction to your card but many of the PBB staffs aren't aware of this. Alternatively, you can sign up for online banking for both your savings account and this standalone PBB ESSO VISA debit card. You can transfer the money online from your savings account to the PBB ESSO VISA debit card yourself.

Added on December 22, 2010, 9:34 pmi just tried using the cimb e.mastercard which i successfully added to paypal for ebay transaction for the first time - after conversion ard rm25 only while there is rm50 in the card account...

the payment cant go thru ==

i hv no problem with pb visa electron...

Are those really free for life and anybody can apply or only students?

If can..then why people want to apply the others types like D2D

Yes. All these cards are really free for life with no catch. Not really sure if the TACR and UTAR are open only to students though. Anyway, the best debit card from Public Bank now is the ESSO/Mobil VISA debit card because :
- no annual fee
- 0.5% cash back on all transactions excluding petrol (you get 1% cash back at ESSO/Mobil stations but nothing at all other petrol stations)
- can be used for Paypal
- monthly statement

And some more the MEPS withdraw at other atm is RM1 per withdraw and for the other debit card issue by public bank RM10 charge per withdraw money at MEPS atm.

i jz bought the univesal studio ticket jz now and is success without prompt me any pin or 3d secure ID.. i activated the MSOS already.

in the m2u it shown 23-Dec-2010 PRE-AUTH DEBIT Rmxxx

mean is success ady?

This is because certain websites do not have the Verified by VISA/MasterCard SecureCode feature yet.

They charges me 8 ringgit for debit advice what is that? i havent even use the card yet

when u apply the debit card, did you ask for non annual fee option, ie no unlimited atm withdrawal option?
you can still go to the branch you applied or any other branch and ask for change of option and refund

RM200 deposit. It will be cleared within a few days. Usually 3 - 5 working days, based on my experience last time.

It's the annual fee for your Maybank VISA debit card. Do as what alexwsk suggested.
