The HTC HD2 is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU and sports the nice 448 MB of RAM. Running on Windows Mobile 6.5 it relies on a 4.3-inch display of WVGA resolution for its operation.

As if that wasn't exciting enough, the HD2 is also the first WinMo handset to feature a capacitive touchscreen, instead of the resistive units we have seen so far - perhaps that was exactly what was meant by Windows 7 ready in the yesterday's leak.

The HTC Sense UI, which comes preinstalled on top of the OS, is obviously here to iterate on the popular TouchFLO 3D and should make sure that all interface elements are large enough to be used with fingers only.

The network connectivity capabilities of the HTC HD2 are splendid, the handset coming with quad-band GSM support and dual band UMTS with 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and 2 Mbps HSUPA. Wi-Fi and GPS are also on board as well as the usual suspects Bluetooth and USB.

On the multimedia front the 11mm-slim HTC HD2 has a 5 megapixel autofocus camera and a standard 3.5mm audio jack to offer. The list of nice features of this powerhouse is completed by a built-in accelerometer and proximity sensor.

The HTC HD2 will be available later this month with selected operators across Europe, before rolling out to other regions in the coming months. The company is however yet hesitant to reveal more details about its pricing but rumors have it that it will be selling for around 650 euro (Vodafone Spain) or 499GBP in the UK, which is around 540 euro

Hey the touch flo is really nice. Hope it will be coming out for other HTC as an upgrade oso. For me i think HD is better then Iphone as it is HTC first Capative touch screen right. So the response should be good.

The recipient will see you but you will not see them. Also, I don't think it will run on the max resolution. It will be running the same native resolution as the other secondary cameras.

stand in front of the mirror, then point camera at ur reflection in the mirror while looking at ur own screen during the call. tad..

and bring along the mirror wherever you go... another brick in ur pocket. hehe...

If HTC HD2 price is below 3k, it makes me feel stupid for getting HTC Touch Diamond 2 last Saturday. =(

Wow.Lucky me I started saving already.if price is RM 2899 or cheaper I can add the HD2 in my collection of 3(Dopod 838 Pro,Touch Pro,And Touch Pro 2)

However, this HD2 very perfect as what i think with 4.3", even HD with 3.8" also bigger than iphone 3.6".

I think I saw some LYN sellers in the forum already offering this phone... over 3k definitely.. anybody seen it at the shops yet?

This phone is really too huge, and my palm is not say that small. I don't see how this size is going to be 1 finger friendly, especially when you're talking about Windows Mobile here, buttons are everywhere, and the problems comes when you want to reach for the top right corner of the screen.

Actually, you CAN get infected with virus on a phone...and these virus are even worst than PC viruses coz they do things like auto-dial your phone to some African country in the middle of the night and chalks up a huge phone bill. And this is no joke.

Also, mobile antivirus software license seems to be more expensive than PC counterparts.

I suggest you to wait for the price to go down and then buy this HD2. Really, HD2 is a HUGE improvement to any of the HTC devices, including the original HD. It's not like the pathetic upgrade from Touch Pro to Touch Pro2.

Not necessarily, the Snapdragon processor is quite new thus newer models that will come out within the next 1 or 2 years should not be a big leap, probably they'll upgrade to Touch Pro 3 with Snapdragon but still, it's a minor leap from HD2.
