Now still using Dopod 838 Pro smile.gif

Have a few questions, hope someone can help out :

1. Is the HD2 screen scratch resistant?
2. Is there a task switcher/killer app for WinMo 6.5? (using VBar now)
3. Can I install CAB or EXE directly from the PC or memory card like 838 Pro? Without going thru Market Place?

Thanks.

1. still need screen protector for better protection.
2. should have its default task manager.
3. exactly the same way how you operate your 838pro. Market place not so popular among winmo i guess, because i never download from market place.

Thanks.

Is there any special type of screen protector for capacitive screen? Will screen protector reduce the sensitivity to touch?

One thing im frustrated about my Dopod 838Pro is that the touch dialpad lags like hell.. need to wait for the numbers to display after pressing mad.gif

Wonder how is it with the newer models like HTC TP, TP2, HD, HD2 etc ... any such issue?

starting from TD, it doesnt have this issue, i dun think u have to worry about this issue on the HD2 coz of the processor's speed.

Ok.. thanks. Now, just have to sit back and wait for it's arrival here.

there will definitely be pouches or cases to hold it.. dun have to worry about it i guess..
but still wondering whether the original pouch would come with it or not like the TD/TP/TD2

From one of the video, seems there is a simple pouch, but without belt clip.

Still undecided .... will probably get whichever one arrives in Malaysia first, N900 or HD2 (Xperia X10 is good too but too bad it won't be here this year) biggrin.gif

i knew N900 started shipping to europe , middle-east , russia and sweden , but i think malaysia not in list , nokia malaysia upcoming models no N900 ~ cry.gif  cry.gif

Haha.. well, then, whichever reaches our stores first smile.gif

If HD2 comes first, then HD2 it is... and wait next year for Maemo 6 or the rumoured capacitive screen N9XX or an Android model biggrin.gif

Since WinCE > WinMo2000 > WinMo2003 > WinMo2003SE > Winmo2005 > WinMo6.1 > WinMo6.5  after so many years not much changes. ppl are getting bored. its time to change ppl.

i've been using Hero for the pass 4week and its really serve me well, with marketplace i can just download any apps while im on the move, no sync. all my backup and contact can even save into my google account...etc for more info you may visit our lynt android section.

I'd love to grab an Android device but at the moment there is no such device that really attracts me (except for Xperia X10, but won't be available this year, and for it to be updated to Android 2.0 may have to wait until mid-2010 biggrin.gif ... will HTC Dragon be coming soon ?? smile.gif )

So, will probably go for HD2 or N900, then change to Android next year.

HD2 hardware is confirmed to be WM 7 compatible.

Does this mean HTC will provide free upgrade for HD2 next year? smile.gif

RM2899 is reasonable... but after reading about the problems/bugs, kinda undecided smile.gif

About the service/warranty for HTC devices, need to send it back personally to SIS service centre (Pulau Tikus) ? Or just send back to the retailer/reseller?

send it back to SIS service centre if ur device is faulty. I have dealt with them and i can say they have quite a good after sales service. might need to wait for a few working days for ur device to be fixed but definitely worth the wait
*
Thanks.

That's what Im afraid of (after reading about the issues.. Volume Up issue etc etc). The only problem is I don't go over to the island side often (the SIS centre is at Pulau Tikus, Penang Island) smile.gif
