QUOTE(hhoong @ Oct 14 2009, 01:08 PM) ya i agree, is big but is not that big, not until u need to 'HUGE' yupe, my point was if someone can carry something as heavy as the tp2 in the pocket, this one is considered fine.tp2 got qwerty keyboard ofcos is heavier at UK sound like it will be out by 19th this month contract with one of their telco provider O2, but is not confirm, hopefully will reach SEA before end of the year. |

price MIGHT be less than 3k. QUOTE The price? A princely £469 (£539.35 inc VAT) before UK taxes, aka VAT. This translates to approximately RM 2,529. Damn. That’s cheap. I’d get one myself if this was the approximate price. Personally, I think that if the local HTC outfit can price this at around RM 2,799 or lower, it can take away some of the interest surrounding the iPhone3GS, as well as the top end Symbian touch smartphones from the other major manufacturers. |

QUOTE(Vervain @ Oct 14 2009, 11:10 PM) The recipient will see you but you will not see them. Also, I don't think it will run on the max resolution. It will be running the same native resolution as the other secondary cameras. stand in front of the mirror, then point camera at ur reflection in the mirror while looking at ur own screen during the call. tad.. |

QUOTE(Sylpheed @ Nov 9 2009, 08:03 AM) from YQC Technology Solution (HTC Preferred Authorized Reseller) at Penang, Malaysia ~ RM3,299 maybe the person just quoting the price of tp2, guessing that hd2 night not be more expensive than that. Source about where i expected it i guess.. anyway, if its more than 3k, i'd settle for the omnia2 instead, has its own advantage over hd2 also. |

QUOTE(Sylpheed @ Nov 10 2009, 07:53 AM) why omnia 2? the only thing better is the screen.. OLED vs LED? other then that.. i don't see much advantage. How can you say no to snapdragon + capacitive screen? the tp2 launch price was around 3.2k, no doubt it has dropped since then.Anyway.. last i check TP2 price has dropped quite a fair bit (below 3k i think) so i don't think 3299 is TP2 price. Added on November 10, 2009, 7:56 am Someone here mentioned he was one of the staff members at one of the booths that sold HTC Products. maybe he can give us a better idea. the hd2 and omnia2 have different advantages: hd2 -4.3inch capacitive multitouch screen -1ghz snap dragon, more ram -'nicer' sense UI omnia2 - vibrant AMOLED screen - better battery life (bcos bigger battery and enery saving oled) - cheaper. some might think the capacitive screen is great and really it is, but when sometimes you (unfortunately) have to use winmo interface which has not been skinned by HTC, interface will have small and near button, checkbox, list, etc. good luck touching that with your fat finger on a capacitive screen.
and of course you can use multitouch to zoom that window to make the buttons bigger, but that means u perform more finger actions to do the same thing that can be done if compared to resistive screen and stylus. |

QUOTE(greatgreedyguts @ Nov 10 2009, 05:10 PM) major parts of the interface are bigger, but there are still minor areas.not a big problem most of the time, but of course u'd wish it could be better. eg : watch the 'movie' at 27:40. the drop down list, he selected wrong the first time. http://mytechnews.info/b/2009/11/htc-hd2-the-movie.html This post has been edited by nghj: Nov 10 2009, 05:38 PM |

QUOTE(Sylpheed @ Nov 10 2009, 05:43 PM) true, but then that's why you have xda community to make life for winmo users much better well, installing and using files from a developer forum would get lots of different reaction, depending on how much of a techie you are. not everyone is comfortable with it or would bother.if you don't like the HTC interface, there's always another one around |

QUOTE(Sylpheed @ Nov 11 2009, 09:35 AM) I think the reviewer has issues with WM6.5 more then the phone itself.. that being said, sure WM6.5 wasn't that big a jump from 6.1 or 6.0.. some ppl just hate winmo cos nth much has changed for a very long time, even wm6.5 is mostly just reskinning.but then, better then nothing Can't wait for 7.0 though the main apps like calendar, media player are still old and not the best apps which you can use for touch compared to today's standards. android 2.0 is getting a lot of attention because it is new and it's been backed by google, who provides most of our internet content nowdays. the only reason i'm still rooting for winmo is because i wanna use my garmin mxt. |
