need some opinion here.... my friend is currently in UK and i have an option to ask him to buy me one from there and he will be back on this coming early december, 499.95 GBP is the price which i have to pay him back in pounds too... Or should i wait for it to launch here in Malaysia? headache.

u mean the HTC Dragon? anyway, WM is different compared to Android. depends on users' needs.

it is rumored to be launched on this mid November, a staff from PDA Expert confirmed me with that. save ur cash!!! ~.~

might be less than 3k considering how the price of PDAs are dropping, Omnia II @ 2299, TD2 @ 2299 HD @ 2399 etc etc... If it is really gonna hit Malaysia this month, then we are gonna know how much does it cost real soon. fingers crossed

Yup i know it was RM 3288 when HD 1st launched, but PDAs nowadays are getting cheaper and cheaper, Touch Cruise was 2799 when it was launched but Diamond 2 was 2599 initial price. anyway it is just my hope and wish that it would be lower than 3k. wait till the price is announced then

money saved as well.... CEO of HTC Peter Chow will be having a press conference about the launch of HTC HD2 tmr (4th of November) in Tai Pei. Hope he will announce the launch date for Malaysia

the official launch date is tomorrow for Tai Pei, 11th of Nov for Europe, South East Asia = no news. Also CEO of HTC Peter Chow will be having a press con on the launching of HD2 tomorrow, so lets see what he has to say about this.

i guess those people are somewhat related to HTC or they are handheld experts which would get a few sets of prototype and test it out before the official launch date. Even PDA Expert had 2 sets of Touch Pro before its official launch date in Malaysia during that time. there are currently no HD2 on sale worldwide yet, only pre-orders.

It is no where near 350 USD for a HD2, at least 499 POUNDS. i hope you think twice before u buy. I posted once before that i was confused whether to buy an imported or local phone but after hearing it is coming soon i think i will wait for it to launch here, 499 pounds after converting it is 2800+ ringgit, just hope that it is lesser than 3k over here. the other most important thing that came into my mind was the warranty. 350 US dollers is impossible mate.

maybe will be launched during PC fair...

My fren is using an iPhone with a screen protector on it. but the screen sensitivity is really good.. a soft touch for full response.. i dun think that's an issue, but i will definately be using a screen protector

It is operating on Windows Mobile 6.5, so the apps are basically the same, so u can use whatever software u used on ur 838pro on the HD2, dun worry about this.

There have been news about the low battery capacity and the speed of the processor, and the outcome was this Snapdragon processor is much more efficient compared to the old Qualcom processor, and a review says that the battery bar only dropped a bit even though with wifi and internet browsing, but it all depends on usage. So far, reviews are saying that this processor wont cause too much of a problem with that small capacity battery.

hmmm.. true that but im referring to the apps according to the platform.. but we are able to download the same software of different resolution so i dun think that's a very big problem.. but indeed my previous post was quite misleading, neglected the resolution.. opps

starting from TD, it doesnt have this issue, i dun think u have to worry about this issue on the HD2 coz of the processor's speed.

Lol.. basicly, we have high taxes on every foreign product! eg. cars..

there will definitely be pouches or cases to hold it.. dun have to worry about it i guess..
but still wondering whether the original pouch would come with it or not like the TD/TP/TD2

yeap. and the simple pouch is good enuff for me... hehe...
and i think u wont have a problem getting a belt clipped case.... there are plenty of them in the market
