The persona should be a 2-din hu. In the garage sales got people selling the custom hu cover for gen2/persona. That should make the dashboard a bit narutal when installing after market hu

For a b-line owner, shouldn't worry too much, but for m-line and above owner, have to sacrifice the buttons at the steering sweat.gif

1) Are your rear seat the split/foldable type? If they are, the sound is most likely caused by the locking mechanism (specifically the striker) of the foldable rear seat back. The seat lock striker is similar to the door lock striker found at the centre pillar & rear quarter panel of all 4 door saloon cars which hooks on the door lock when you close the doors. You just need to use a bit of electrical tape( those for insulating wires) to insulate the seat back striker & the sound will be eliminated. That's what I did on my Persona. First, I thought the sound was from the suspension but no it is cause by the locking mechanism of the rear seat back when the car moves & vibrate. Remember not to use too much tape or else you won't be ale to fold the rear seat back to its original position. If your rear seats are not the type stated above. My guess is as good as yours.

2) Does the sound from the air-con occur all the the time or only when you turn on the a/c & gone later. Is it some sort of a hissing sound. If it is, it is the normal sound emanating from the expansion valve. I suggest you increase the volumn of the radio & enjoy the coolness i.e if the a/c is still cold. My month old Persona can be excruciatingly cold even at the almost lowest temperature.

3)Have not explore the possibility of lighting up the ignition key hole light yet. Not really a priority.

Lastly, please don't expect too much from a 50K plus car. Even a 78K E-spec (lowest) VIOS has it fair share of problems. To me, IMO, as an average Joe, any car below 70K is a cheap car. And the Persona as a whole offers cheap solutions.

Problems and problems...but what the hack, for a complete car with RM60k and below...bear with it la...

1. The front metal clunking sound when turning on uneven ground, be it left or right - not solved.

2. The rattling sound at the air-cond blower - "glak...glak..." sound, not solved.

3. The ignition key hole light? YES, it is there - but no light.

4. The seatbelt warning indicator - not functioning, but hope it is, with a silent one.

5. FC? Fuiyoh...town-driving sucks, like water-drinking only...less than 320km full tank. But for Hi-way, fuiyoh again...about 450km full tank - SHELL supersavers la...

Other than that, I wub.gif my PERSONA SE...!!!

could anyone list down the things i need to replace at 40k km service?
and if possible, also give me the best recommended item/brand..

my car going to service at 40k km soon

last time i service 4 20k km, need to pay rm600.
just change
fully synthetic oil
oil filter
spark plug
service charge is RM128

is that price reasonable or expensive?

by the way, i service at EON jalan kuala kangsar in ipoh.
