QUOTE(namh @ Sep 4 2009, 09:25 PM) just want to get the clear information.. I now owned Maybank Ikhwan Mastercard.. recently, Maybank launched the Maybank Ikhwan PETRONAS Mastercard.. I think, it is much better if i change my card to the PETRONAS card.. because the normal card can not get any TP if you fill petrol at PETRONAS, but the new card can help you accumulate 5x TP, right? if yes, I want to change my card to the new Maybank Ikhwan PETRONAS Mastercard.. You'll only get 2x for Ikhwan AMEX or 1x for Ikhwan Visa. In this case, owning Ikwan Petronas Visa will get 5x TP. As for my case, I got the classic Maybank Petronas Visa first before getting the Ikhwan AMEX.

I owned both the Ikhwan VISA and AMEX.. but, AMEX can hardly used in Petronas.. I guess, i will apply the new Ikhwan Petronas VISA..

MBB Petronas cards are all Visas. But if you pump mostly Petronas, getting the Ikhwan Petronas is a good idea since you get more points. Some Petronas stations used to accept Amex at the pump but now if they accept (not all do), must pay at counter.

I just called SCB yesterday inquiring any other CCs apart from Just1 offering cash rebate. I was informed that besides Just1, SCB Business Plat also give cash back but the rebate rate is only 0.5%. I never heard of the 10% rebate promotion.

QUOTE(sochaiapk @ Sep 5 2009, 10:52 PM) Platinum Card. Just got it last month. Could it be a welcome gift in form of rebate? As far as I know, SCB is throwing money to its new customers - RM100 for Plat cc and RM50 for Gold cc. It is generous compared to other banks.

QUOTE(miaomiaolala @ Sep 6 2009, 01:32 PM) I tot IBG transfers charges are reduced to RM0.50 already? RM0.50 IBG only applies to Basic Savings Account and for the first two IBG transactions per month. All banks must have Basic Savings Account but many do not promote it cos banks lose out in terms of RM8 ATM charges they normally charge for their in-house (Regular) Savings account. Here are a few website links for Basic Savings accounts - Maybank- CIMB- Alliance Bank- Public Bank- Hong Leong Bank- RHB Bank
