hello there...
i have a question regarding internet reserving of car rental in europe. this rental company requires me to fill up all my credit card particulars in their Authorization Form this includes cc no, expiry date and also CVV no. behind. (note: this not some secure page entry that we commonly fill in during online transaction. It's like a exel, word or pdf forms that we need to fill up manually and send it to them via e-mail) I've been searching high and low with uncle google and i found out that these cc authorization forms are quite common. but i'm still paranoid of giving them so much of my cc info. so anyone can enlighten me regarding this if this is normal to merchants to ask for these authorization forms? |

From what I know is there should be some regulations where companies while processing CC transactions are not allowed to note down the CVV number (regardless it is written on paper or in a word doc). That's why we have those secure pages that processes the CVV code and deletes it off immediately.
If really no choice I would just use a debit account linked to account which has only exactly the amount needed to perform the transaction. |

Standard Chartered Malaysia Priority Banking customers will all soon be issued complimentary VISA Infinite credit card instead of the current Platinum Mastercard.
Standard Chartered has already relaunched its Priority Banking service in Hong Kong and Singapore and this will soon extend to China, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, India and the United Arab Emirates in coming months. Just got this news a few minutes ago. |

Its actually not allowed, infact very dangerous coz most of the info already captured when they swipe the card. All they need to do is just memorise the CVV number. |

If you take out the money from the cc, you'll be charged an interest of 18%/annum immediately. People use cc as future money, but you use your own money 1st and lend it to cc FOC. |

Do you notice that we can pay bills using MBF Cards service and rebate 1%.
One thing to tell you: Standard Chartered uses MBF cards as the medium to pay our bills that we pay through SCB online as I saw my TNB e-service shows the payment channel is MBF Cards Online |

I wanted the point QUOTE(hye @ Aug 13 2009, 05:39 PM) Finally ... at least their PB customers can get back something after a dismal returns on their savings/current accounts. When they say relaunched their PB service, what does it means ? I notice that Standard Chartered still give very high interest rate for their "Privilege Savings/Checking account". I believe this account is reserved only for their Priority Banking customers ? Anyways, i'm not too sure what does Standard Chartered mean with the relaunching of their Priority Banking service. I believe it is more or less the same as HSBC Premier and Citibank Citigold, with added perks. HSBC Premier - relaunched in 2007 - Complimentary Premier Mastercard - Offering even better service such as global view - Premier membership in HSBC worldwide as long as you maintain your Premier status at home - Premier assistance in more than 9000 HSBC branches worldwide - fee-free remittance between HSBC Premier accounts (same account holder only) Citibank Citigold - relaunched in 2008 - Complimentary Platinum credit card - Offering even better service such as global view - Citigold membership in Citibank worldwide as long as you maintain your Citigold status at home - Citigold assistance in around 4000 Citibank branches worldwide - instant fee-free remittance between Citibank Citigold accounts (same account holder only) **instant remittance available in certain countries only Basically the perks offered by HSBC Premier and Citibank Citigold are the same. Believe the relaunch Standard Chartered Priority Banking service will offer more or less the same benefits as its two main rivals. However, i think Standard Chartered is at an disadvantage here as their global franchise is no where as big as HSBC and Citibank. One notable changes is the complimentary VISA Infinite credit card. Currently only Standard Chartered Hong Kong and Singapore issue complimentary VISA Infinite to its Priority Banking customers. Managed to find the picture of a Standard Chartered Singapore issued VISA Infinite. Click the link below to view. Great Job @MilesAndMore
And the PB Infinite card looks cool ! Let's see what would the Malaysian version looks like. I would have been satisfied enough with the current design and this is definately better than HSBC's Premier. |

No, your relationship (or anything else) with your current bank will not be affected by doing Balance Transfer. Unless you have been a bad paymaster then it already bad even without the BT. thanks Where do you heard this myth ? I'm rather curious about the origin of the questions sometimes. |
