What's NEW and HOT on DiGi?! brows.gif

For prepaid users, now you have better reason to continue sticking with your favourite DiGi Prepaid! DiGi amazes us again by rolling out its latest prepaid package. What can you buy with RM 1 nowadays? Limited isn't it? But it is a total BIG thing on new DiGi Prepaid! Let's get into the excitement, ladies and gentlemen!
user posted image

Yes, hit it! With just a simple RM 1 worth of SMS per day, you can enjoy lower call and SMS rate. Yeah, as simple as that. Once you have hit RM 1 worth of SMS, you can get RM 0.12/minute call to anywhere at anytime plus RM 0.01/SMS to any DiGi number.
Er... A bit skeptical with this, what about my 15 favourite FnF number, still available for this prepaid plan? Yes, this plan still can add in 15 FnF numbers with 11 are DiGi and 4 non-DiGi number.

Some of the favourite asked questions on this thread:

1) I'm on DiGi Prepaid I Like plan, can I change to this plan?
Sure you can but once you have decided to change this plan, there is no more turning back to your initial plan.

2) What's the rate for this latest DiGi Prepaid?
RM 0.36/minute to anywhere at anytime, RM 0.10/SMS to all networks.

3) Strangely, I have sent more than 10 SMS-es but still I do not get any SMS alert from DiGi telling me I have hit RM 1.00?
Please take note that only SMS-es to any DiGi numbers and other networks are included in the accumulated RM 1.00. FnF and International SMS will not be taken into calculation.

4) I have just recently got my freebies, will it charge my current credit or freebies?
It will charge to your freebies and thus you are not eligible to get any discounted call or SMS rate.

5) So, once I hit RM 1.00 worth of SMS, that means I'll get the discounted rate forever?
Nah, it is a daily basis cycle. One cycle lasts for 24 hours, every day's 11.59.59 p.m., your account will be reset and you need to spend RM 1.00 on SMS again to get the discounted rate.

Added on

DiGi never fails to put up a smile on everyone's face. Now, there is no more excuse for you not to be part of the smarter side. Why? Ah ha! It has recently came out with a package that nicely tailored for both postpaid and prepaid packages. Fear no more, if your schooling kids are using prepaid and you are on postpaid, because with DG Family, calls/SMS/MMS between you and them are unlimited and free! Yes, UNLIMITED and FREE!
user posted image

Again, let's see the possible asked questions for this plan:
1) Which postpaid plans are eligible for DG Family plan?
DG50, DG150 and DG250. Please take note, DG30 are not eligible for any supplementary plans.

2) What is the maximum number of supplementary lines for DG Family?
3 DiGi prepaid and 6 DiGi postpaid.

3) Free unlimited calls/SMS/MMS are only between the supplementary and principal line?
Not really. They are also free unlimited among supplementary lines.

4) Well, for postpaid supplementary lines have RM 30.00 for commitment fees, what about for prepaid supplementary lines?
As for prepaid supplementary lines will have RM 15.00 commitment fees for each line, it will auto-reload every month to these prepaid packages. Not to worry, it is RM 15.00 credit, that means it is ready for your usage. Auto Reload tops up your mobile automatically from the Principal's account at selected periods! You'll receive RM15 talktime on a pre-selected preferred date: the 1st, 8th, 15th, 20th & 28th of the month.

5) What is the call rate for DG Family Prepaid?
RM 0.36/minute, RM 0.10 SMS, RM 0.25/MMS to anywhere at anytime. Please be acknowledged that, FnF is not applicable for DG Family Prepaid.

Other information about this plan, can be found HERE.

3G for broadband is already out, video call needs to hold on for some time because they are still focusing on 3G broadband.
No more, it should be OK by now. smile.gif

Once you exceed the allowed bandwidth, then you still can continue using the broadband but will be calculated separately. Refer to these images:

So, once you reach the capped RM 138 (Discovery and Explore) or RM 188 (Extreme), then your speed will be reduced to DiGi EDGE speed.

Current DG 20 plan users still can stick with their DG 20. smile.gif
RM 30 right?

RM20.

Autobilling rebate RM10
DG30 - RM10 = RM20+5%tax
Credit still RM30?
*
yes credit still RM30

QUOTE(fruitie @ May 23 2009, 10:07 PM)
Auto-billing is RM 5.00 and not RM 10.00.
Yes, the credit remains RM 30.00 even though you have RM 5.00 rebate. smile.gif
I wish that my plan can use auto billing, too bad it doesn't apply to Ambassador Plan. sleep.gif

My auto billing is RM10 and I asked in D'Chat and she said it's RM10 so hopefully it's RM10 rebate. If not I will ask them again... lol.

Here's an easy way to pay your monthly bill and enjoy a RM5 monthly rebate at the same time.

Just sign up for auto payment via any of the following charge or credit cards - American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard or VISA. If you've been using the autobilling settlement mode of payment, you can switch to auto payment anytime too.

No queue, no hassle and with a fantastic rebate. What better way is there to settle your monthly bills?

To sign up, drop by your nearest DiGi Centre or DiGi Specialised Store.

note:
• Only principal DiGi customers can apply for auto payment
The monthly rebate for new subscriptions has been revised to RM5 effective 10th July 2008.

You must understand that DiGi broadband is very fast but it has Fair Usage Policy. If you are heavy downloader, DiGi 3G is definitely not the choice.

Yes, you need another type of router to share connection for wireless broadband. If you are using it alone, then it is sufficient with just the modem.

Currently I'm subscribing to DG50. I plan to convert to DG30 coz my usage is not much. Wat's the diff between the 2 package? I understand that the RM50 commitment fees I paid for DG50 include the call and sms charges right? DG30 monthly commitment fees don't include the call and sms charges?

DG30 has RM 30 of commitment fees which includes calls, SMS and MMS.
The only difference is DG30 cannot apply for supplementary lines, other features are the same as the rest of DiGi Postpaid I Heart Savings plans. smile.gif

I was sleeping when it struck. Checked back my modem, it shows last disconnection time was 6.06 a.m. So I think should be that time.
Yeah could be overall thingy because our places are kinda far to each other. So far known affected areas:
1) Ayer Keroh, Melaka
2) Miri and Kuching, Sarawak
3) Cyberjaya

Probably the shop was trying to scam you. Well, when did you top up? Just now? It may be caused by the server problem that is striking most of us now.
I don't think it can be claimed back on DiGi's side but you can always go back to the shop and request for clarification.

Need to ask about Digi Windows Live Messenger. Subscription is said to be RM 3. What about the messeges sent? How much? What about the so called hidden cost?
*
RM 3 for unlimited access, no matter how many messages you are sending from there.
Some phones even support file transfer too and it is included in the RM 3 charge.

Added on May 25, 2009, 11:02 amNo hidden cost, only RM 3.00/month for unlimited.

Do you require to have WAP access to use Digi WLM? I don't think my area has WAP service.

You need WAP to subscribe and install the application. After that, I don't think you still need it. Why not? WAP is everywhere and has no area dependency.

hope digi will be better and not to worst...

but sometimes when down... those ppl that are having 1 single line will suffer too... today AM i saw a guy at shell station who had a punctured tire of his bike and he were trying to make calls... i heard the tone 'doo doo doot' quite loud... i tot it was my hp as my line were down too... then see see he's having difficulties to make calls... end up he went into the shell station maybe to try borrow a phone or etc...

to some ppl, line down is really a crucial moment... hope digi will rectify the problem fast...

Referring to this thread :http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1042272

I have to wonder why you are considering my quieries as spamming.

I am asking a legitimate question about the workaround with the Digi WLM for N82. I did not get any reply in this thread so obviously I had to ask on section outside of this thread in case someone that knows about the solution

Granted you can say that I may have been wrong about the H1N1 joke bit but calling me spamming this thread is really too much.

What's the point of saying this: It better not be the yellow man caught the H1N1 virus. tongue.gif
Not a spam? Then what is that? Post-count sections are not for you to have jokes around. smile.gif

I didn't say your query was a spam ya, please do not misunderstand. Look back what I posted in the other thread:
p/s: I saw spam you spamming in the DiGi thread, shall you do it again, I'll issue you a warning.

Can't take a bit of joke? Sure, that's one pointless post and if you want call it spam go ahead as I have no problem with that.

However a nice "please no joke" would be suffice instead of the rude "I'll issue you a WARNING" as it sounds like a threat to me, especially when its given in thread that I started asking about solution to the Digi WLM problem.

Did I issue you any warning now? It was just a verbal warning before the real warning is given to you. To you it may sound a threat but to me it is a prevention for further spamming. Different people with different presumption.

I do not have obligation to say out my words as per your wish, simply because I do not know what kind of words will be pleasant to be listened by you.

Case closed and we shall continue our discussion here.

Hi,

I'm currently using digi prepaid, and my gf is using maxis prepaid. We're planning to convert to digi 50 & 1 family. Is it possible that I can convert both prepaid to digi postpaid by myself, or i have to go to the service centre together with my gf to convert it?

Thanks for any help provided. smile.gif

u'd have to go 2 times if u wanna do it yourself first because all porting has to be done through digi. Hence, if you wanna convert yours first, its fine. You can port your gf's number later.

Half price on DiGi prepaid calls this Thursday

PETALING JAYA: About a million DiGi prepaid customers suffered a nationwide service disruption yesterday morning. The mobile communications company is apologising and offering compensation for the inconvenience.

DiGi Communications said in a press release that it is offering all its prepaid service subscribers 50% off on voice calls this Thursday, from 7am to 7pm, as a small way to make up for yesterday’s disruption.

The disruption lasted from 8am to 11.45am and impacted both voice and SMS services.

“I take this extremely seriously. Our customers have an expectation to be always on and I am disappointed that they have been inconvenienced, and for that I apologise,” said DiGi chief executive officer Johan Dennelind.

He said the root cause is known and the matter has been resolved.

well, it's a double-edged benefit ...

for those who was seriously/genuinely affected by the network problem recently, the discount is just a small remuneration to compensate and gain customer's confidence back (read radi0head's story about this fella at petrol station).

of course, those largely that wasn't seriously affected, we're enjoying this benefit at the cost of other's difficulties ...

all in all, i don't want the network to be down again, ever. Make it stable, accessible, and i'd be happy to pay the bills/topups/call charges. smile.gif

Well, I have never heard of that before maybe I was too ignorant because my friend in KK, a Hotlink user didn't tell me about this before.
I believe only Sabah users applied this case but for DiGi's case, it is the whole entire DiGi prepaid community in Malaysia. smile.gif

i think it's a regulation to put that RM0 in front of the SMS sent by telco.... why worry where you won't be charged receiving SMS anyway?

honestly digi performance is quite not good recently, last year for example they failed to increase their market share, the revenue growth and net profit also showing a decline (although they still willing pay high dividen to investor). celcom manage to wider the gap between digi and leave digi behind. that for overall 2008.

and for 1st quarter 2009, another disapointed performance report by digi. some people already marked digi share from buy to sell or hold. and the number of new subscribers also not so good compare to their competitor.

the axiata share, before this the value is about the same as digi share although axiata is a much2 more bigger company than digi. but recently the axiata share increase so high due to good celcom performance, and also some external factor.

but im sure digi sure do something about it.. its quite challenging to choose more subscribers or good profit. if they reduce their price again then sure the margin decline, ARPU decline, and net profit as well.. but if they didn't do something then they will loose to their competitor.

digi also need to spend lot of money for their new 3g service, in their capex this year, hundreds of milion has been allocated to expand their 3g coverage only..

beside the downturn economy, all these factor make it is hard for digi. luckily digi have a lot of loyal customer, they succesfully build customer satisfaction and confident. so when their network down last few days, they feel it is really important to make sure this confident still with them. that is why they giving 50% discount.

celcom also put rm0.00 in front of the SMS promotion/spam. it is use to indicate how much you have been charge for that sms only, i repeat, for that sms only.. of course that sms is free, because it is advertisement sms..

but if you response to it, or subscribe the service.. you will never know how much it will charge.

This can be apply to maxis in Sabah as Sabah dont have many maxis users compared to DiGi and celcom. Their network are capable of handling so many free call, imagine free calls on DiGi prepaid nationwide, how are the networks gonna handle such a massive traffic?

It is one flat rate, regardless in or off network - RM 0.20/minute.

Which promotional rate that you meant?

If postpaid only eligible for DiGi numbers. If prepaid and subscribe for Super FnF then you can have 11 DiGi numbers and 4 non-DiGi numbers.

so u r saying that ur lost sim is under ur fren's name? if so, ur fren must be present to get a replacement sim... it must be the owner himself/herself. i dono authorized letter works or not...

Hi all,

There was once i went to Jurong area in Singapore and I activated my Digi roaming but there was no signal at all...I thought Digi roaming covers the whole Sg...

I'm not sure about other places in Sg as I only went to Jurong Shipyard and came back to Malaysia on the same day...

Anyone can confirm whether there is coverage around Jurong area? I'm using prepaid..

Thanks

5. You will never have hidden fees: With DiGi, you never have to worry about hidden fees, deposits or advanced payments. We don't have any.

the current digi freebies system is a money sucking method by digi, how so? if u have a max capped thinggy on ur current plan be it call, sms, or internet. it will deduct from freebies 1st without capped. meaning it will deduct ur freebies until dried/kosong then when ur main balance is deducted then only the capped system applied.. totally unreasonable.. where to complain if we not satisfied with the service of telco provider?

The letter would be something like this:
To whom may concern,

I (his name and I.C. number) would like to allow the ownership transfer of my DiGi number - (DiGi number) to be done to (your name and I.C. number). With hereby, I have attached to you the photocopy of my I.C. for verification purpose.

No problem because my friend wanted to terminate her line from Maxis and she was her bro's supplementary line. She only brought the bro's I.C. to Maxis Centre but they refused to do that without her bro's letter. So, my friend actually wrote the letter herself on a piece of paper and luckily she knows the bro's signature. tongue.gif We brainstormed on what to be written, eventually we opted for simple and compact method. Straight to the point. laugh.gif

2990000 is also digi helpline no. i think b4 MNP was introduced, we are able to call that no. for free, but since MNP is here now, digi required all the customer to include the prefix which is 016. if u dial 016-2990000 u will not get charge but if u just dial 2990000, u will be charge!

No, you can't register from the DiGi centre.
Just visit the store near to your university. The list is here: http://www.digi.com.my/whatshot/promotions/dc/outlet.jsp

u can also registered it at digi centre provided u got the d'campus sim card. I did mine at berjaya time square due to it take 2 week to register las time around. But now, the participanting booth at uni is very fast d. 2 hour done and ready to use. Data is usable anyway within malaysia. But jus make sure u dont hav freebies balance in ur simcard. As all will be deducted to enable u to enjoy the capped system .

I'm using prepaid..

well, i have just switched to dg50,

2 question,

does the rm50 includes data downloads (wap, ringtones, etc), game purchases, and those special subscription sms?

since dg has 3g now, do they offer any video calls?
*
QUOTE(kytehx @ Jun 7 2009, 11:43 PM)
1.No, those are value added services
2.No, 3g but for broadband only
*
Eh sure or not? I asked OCS, was told balance transfer and roaming not covered in commitment fees only. Data transfer and subscription SMS I'm sure is covered becos I've used them. Check saman, subscribe jokes from Reader's Digest, all covered... even caller ringtone is covered...

My caller ringtone is not covered in my free RM 50.00, it is charged separately, that means it should be charged separately for your case. smile.gif

You need to send your phostated IC with crossed and a letter to DiGi telling them you allow the transfer.

AS THERE IS NO CAPPED SYSTEM IN FREEBIES BALANCE@ BONUS, SO EVERY SMS, CALL, DATA WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM FREEBIES 1ST UNTIL IT IS DRIED , once ur main balance is touched, the capped system applied again.. stupid right.. i complaint but i cant prove as there is no proof in the freebies balance in itemization

You need to have at least RM 50.00 in your prepaid balance. Don't worry, it will be rebated in your first bill.

HI all i want to ask something...

Its not a bad thing but im just wondering, since I reloaded my credit last week (June 9th), until now nothing is deducted from the credit for my calls and SMS, other words free calls and SMS, even calls to abroad (haha) rclxms.gif

I never heard of any promotions like this before and dun really wan to ask Digi about it tongue.gif. Only thing i'm concern if they wud charge everything later coz I've been using the phone like crazy since hehehe.

Im using Super F&F plan btw. Owh and 9th June was my birthday is it has to do with anything? All i know birthday bonus is 50% of topup..

Thanks!

One thing I don't like about DiGi is the billing system as it takes very long time to get it generated.
Anyway, you can check it after 10 days. smile.gif

the reason i need to look at the *actual* bill is to know the *actual* amount to pay.

the OCS billing is confusing: I get ~3 different amount throughout the site.

from what i know, Digi's OCS has a very (old) complicated backend (billing system) which ties to the website (OCS) itself.

usually, around this time, i will get my hardcopy bill oredi blush.gif just that i chose online bill to save RM3. smile.gif

You can use auto-billing using credit card, rebate RM 5.00 per month.
You can use online banking too, I'm using this now since my plan is not eligible for RM 5.00 rebate for my bill.. sleep.gif

Every postpaid plan is eligible, just register for auto payment using credit card.
You can do it at OCS.
Unfortunately, I'm on DiGi Ambassador Plan and it has no rebate for this auto payment method.

OMG...i just called digi center for activation...
i bought tat postpaid sim pack from timesquare and digi center told me tat my main line is left Rm4.00+ ONLY!!!!
But the promoter at timesquare told me tat my Rm58.50(main line) + Rm58.50(supp line) payment is for advance payment(my receipt wrote tat TOO)
so is this mean i paid Rm117.00 and my main line Rm50(or less) is scam???
**my supp line has no problem, it just waiting for my main line to activate(supp line is Rm50 left, which is correct)

And my postpaid sim card is a DigiPostpaid sim card, but the digi center told me its a prepaid line!!! and its transfer from prepaid to postpaid...
i bought this postpaid sim card fresh from timesquare roadshow..how can it become a prepaid card???

my receipt got tat dealer chop:
..M MYTH NETWORK ENTERPRISE(the 1st word of the dealer name cant be seen clearly, dnt knw wat 'M' or 'M' only)
(001705245-D)
Lot F32, Giant Hypermarket, Putra Heights,
No3, Persiaran Putra Perdana,
47650 Putra heights, Selangor.
DS001-BP073

wat is this problem???
by right both of my main and supp line should be activate and alright to be use already right????

Correct me if i'm wrong.

I have never came across that we need to pay cost for postpaid SIM packs. Only prepaid needs to pay for RM 8.50. smile.gif
Meanwhile, postpaid will pay advanced payment of RM 50.00, just that. smile.gif

Maximum 220kbps. smile.gif
But usually around 180-190kbps, that is the fastest I could get.

I believe it is stable. Just don't change place, or you will dc or maybe not dc but slow. About long load, it is about same fixed line when you're speed around 180-190kbps... should be no problem... nod.gif

They won't be associated together, two different numbers.
RM 50 for DG50 and RM 66 for EDGE.

Your address must filled when NMP at maybank2u, then after they send and you receive the new sim card, reload within 7 days, and you will receive the RM35 later... it is easy like what other Telco did... tongue.gif

No, not possible.
Prepaid to postpaid = Yes
Postpaid to prepaid = No

But...

You can always port to other telco and port back to DiGi prepaid. icon_rolleyes.gif

If you are not a heavy user, don't ever switch to postpaid. Stick to your current prepaid and subscribe to DiGi prepaid Super Long Life. You only need to reload RM 30.00 and get 1 year validity. Thus, you only top up when you need.
My advice would be, if you are not a heavy user, never change to postpaid. smile.gif

Hi all Digi's fans smile.gif just figured out this thead this morning. Ive been using Digi prepaid for 5 years & what can I say is Digi's rock & never let me down with its plan rclxm9.gif
I have a few questions:
i) the fuyooh plan, is it still there for me to change to?
ii)my prepaid usage currently has been around $50-$60 per month, using sms(to other telco) more than calling. is it better for me to change to postpaid?

Since u prefer digi I suggest that you subscribe to digi 30. Your call will cheaper but the sms rate remains the same. I believe your bill will not be more than rm50. U save at least rm10 permonth.

Obviously NO! U use not more than rm30 per month and if u switch to postpaid u need to pay minimum of rm30.

Like me I requested to turn off my voicemail and it gives longer beep. I think more than 30 seconds but remember to turn on missed calls alert. biggrin.gif

And here's 2 of their non-yellowman ads. It's for digi business, but I find the 2nd one funny.

Yes agree with u. It is a way to waste the callers' money. If they cant reach u, they may sms u. There is no need for vm.

Just call the cs to cancel the vm service. It will save your caller money and do advise your friend to switch off vm to save your money.

something is wrong with digi's postpaid unbilled amount. Most of the postpaid users unbilled amount has been increased way over the credit limit, including mine.

and my phone was barred this morning because of that. digi's customer service is busy and can't get through. The D'Chat have to wait in queue for 15 or 20 mins before getting to chat with a Digi consultant.

hi people, i am using digi postpaid and recently i found out i have 3.5k bonus points. what can i do with all these points?

3k points - rm120 total usage. what does it means actually? my average phone bills are around rm140(including 1 main and 3 sup line). so does it means next month i just have to top up another 20 or what?

really appreciate it if there is anyone able to answer me out. thanks alot!

spoke to the customer consultant regarding this issue. apparently digi is 'recapturing' certain previous call charges/details which the billing department overlooked for the past few months..

this was done without any notice given to customers and some of us got our line barred without any prior notice and like myself this morning was wondering why is my line barred when i already made all the necessary outstanding payments..

so i called up the customer service and made some noise but they can't do much. so i sent an email to one of the digi's customer service manager and cc the email to MCMC(SKMM). i demanded for an explanation and compensation, so hopefully they'll come up with some sort of rebate or something like that..

anyway for those of you who called and unbar your line, it will be barred again in 5 days. they can only unbar your line for 5 days period.

It is very unfair for us, why must we bear for the mistakes they made?
If they can't give me a valid explanation, I'll raise this issue to MCMC just like what I did to Celcom, efficient and effective.

Since it sounds like you seldom use your prepaid number, you should consider switching to prepaid I Like to qualify for 1 year validity by paying only RM30 (Will be deducted from your credit).

I don't use my phone much so I really like the 1 year validity feature. No need to worry about top ups until next year hehe.

u must change it to digi prepaid i like..
that means u will lose ur mtv powerpack rates..
u can do but must pay rm30 for long life thingy..
or u can get it free by porting out to other telco and port back to digi..
free 1 year validity when porting in to digi..

It is 100% unlimited. Calls/SMS/MMS free unlimited.
Nevertheless, heard there is a glitch on DiGi billing system recently and I was one of the victims for over-charged around RM 100.00. doh.gif
*126# is the shortcut for prepaid. *128# is the one, applies for both postpaid and prepaid. smile.gif

I just switch over to Digi from Maxis. Got a DIGI50 plan & maintain my 012 number.

The thing is, the line keep on dropping, the signal ranges from 1 square to 3 squares. Don't have this problem with Maxis before this.

What's the problem?

i) Weak reception?
ii) Because I port from 012, bad routing?

DiGi has weaker coverage compared to other telcos. The only advantage is that it is a cost leader, means it is cheap. smile.gif
