0.5% BF equals to how many kgs of BF?
You train harder than before? trainer harder in weight or cardio?

I do not know....my trainer actually discourage me from doing cardio....erm...maybe 45 mins the most (but i just love step classes too much!  wub.gif )

too much cardio is actually bad for the body...it cause the body to build up stress hormones and hence difficult to lose fat.
I dont know how to convert. my muscle mass increase abit....My BF dropped by 0.5%. My weight dropped 2kg.

I am cardioing quite alot. 4times a week....each time is about 45-65minutes on weight, I am increasing the weightage rather the reps......will see how....

damn frustrated to see such numbers.........it make me angry and tend to work harder.....cilakak......

High maintenance, and bodybuilding is not something that I'm really serious into like going for some competition. If you ask the people here, how many of you can do this for life, taking whey protein and other supplements. They can't really answer.
I tend to agree with you....but then, you prove it that diet with more protein can go a good job...i.e. more toned up shape rather than a more scuptured body.......I believe toning naturally can last longer.......

Depends on Syd G I think. She raised the last session.

Else maybe tengster since he put up the post (then again, at my nagging >.>).

Actually, hmmm... how many are interested in the next one?

blink.gif Oh err... input from me? blink.gif

Hmm...my input was earlier i.e. I intend to do daily weigh-ins since that worked for me. Even the weekly weigh-in wouldn't keep me in control, even though my weight drops about a week later. Note that that's just me and that's what works for me. I don't obsess about it like weighing myself 3x a day. Hmm... knowing whether my weight fluctuates up and down just help me to monitor myself more though.

The one thing I do notice is that people get bothered easily when they see other people doing weigh-ins. Not sure why though. It's not a competition but they seem to treat it as such and they get stress when they see people weighing themselves more and groaning. I tend to just ignore it and let people get on their way because at the end of the day, this isn't a competition. It's more of a group of people getting together to motivate one another to get fit.

Hmm....another thing is the cheatmeals. We're having too many. Perhaps it's a good thing to put in a rule that we can only have one cheat meal a week. So many people coming honest about it, including me. Then bang, problem starts. I'd suggest to do cheatmeals at home so that you can control the oil, sugar and portion. Else it gets out of control very easily. One cheatmeal a week and no more than that. One glass of alcohol is a cheatmeal on it's own. Cheatmeals are also to be taken in moderation, not a gourge fest or like you just come out of a desert.

Another rule : anyone who gains weight after the weekly weigh-in, has to come clean on any cheats or slack in exercise regime. That way, we, as a group, can motivate / egg you to stick to your fitness plan.

Another rule : This is going to be a tough one. For those who have BF% as a target, it may be worthwhile to get someone who is able to give tips. It looks like it's not easy to bring down BF% once reaching the target weight. Not sure if anyone wants to come forward to give tips on this. BB.com has information but something, it's either not written well or people are not able to understand what went wrong. I'mnot sure how well-received this rule would be but it seemed like a lot of ppl are having problems meeting target. Or did you guys slack. brows.gif I see a lot of comments that doesn't seem to help ppl at all.

Starting on 1st June : It's ok with me provided that the people who do sign-up don't take the next 2 weeks as a time that you can cheat your heart out to your heart's content.

Holiday : If you are going to be away for more than 2 weeks and know that you can't stick to your diet, then don't sign up. You can follow from the sidelines I guess but it can be hard if you're trying to lose weight and wanting to enjoy some food. Portion control will be tough to follow as well as control of sugar and oil in the food. (BTW tengster, am now down to 97.5kg, about 1.5kg more than when I flew off to UK). Unless you're willing to put up with a lot of noise from everyone here. smile.gif

Getting onto the bandwagon of 30-days challenge : A few of the people who have signed up for the 30-day challenge never came back. Not sure why though. We need to be clear that once ppl sign on, they are on. They will have to put up with pointed comments i.e. you shouldn't have cheated, you should do better, yadda yadda yadda. It's not going to be easy but it doesn't mean that you have to run away and ignore the problem. Facing the truth hurts but we all want to reach a goal. So gotta swallow the ugly truth that we have cheated. The more important thing is getting back on and doing something about it. No wishy-washy or evading the truth : you slack, you will get commented on and comments will hurt. So what? Timeto get rid of that bodyfat and stop wallowing in self-pity or self-righteous-anger.

30 days vs 90 days : We do 30 days. as soon as one finishes, we do the next. We have a quick post-mortem during the last week to rev up to the next 30 days. 90 days may be too long for ppl to contemplate. During the last week, everyone should also start thinking what they have learnt so far and what htey intend to do for the next 30 days.

I need to sleep. Jet lag is bad. TTYL folks.

myremi those are excellent suggestions.

30 Days vs 90 days - I agree with 30 days challenge and not 90 days since even with only 30 days by the final week some of us were slacking off. Me included.

Weigh-ins: Weighing yourself as often as you want personally but with a weekly check-in on the thread at a set day of the week is good.

Realistic Goals: Additionally think we need to set more realistic goals. Losing a maximum of 2 lbs per week is the recommended amount me thinks. I know maybe some people can do more than that but realistically and consistently? Probably not. Correct me if I'm wrong of course.

Weekly Challenges: Maybe each week the group agrees and sets a weekly challenge. Like # of cardio minutes per week or something like that.

Can i nominate myremi or Syd G to be the TS for next challenge?

myremi - great commitment. It shown that those involved in business travel can also stick to certain form of diet and exercise.........I am travelling extensively next month....3 locations in a month....Thus, I may not be able to login as often....but to hell I will burn the damn stubborn fat....you bet!

okie stick to 30days...

as for weighing...we will record official weigh on weekly.

And those who wanna participate have to post in thread their willingness and their ultimate goal of the 30D challenge. I dont intend to repeat my mistake (on CF).
