oops missed the cutoff date sad.gif

I'm also doing Jillian's 30 Day Shred but stuck on Day 2 since uh last week. It's only 20-minutes but so punishing. It will be great if I can do it for like 30 days straight like some people I've seen online.

Current weight: 74.5kg, 164lbs
Lose: 72.5 kg, 160 (-2 kg by deadline)

How do you guys usually eat oats? With low fat milk or just plain oat??
*
I just discovered oats! So simple and tasty. Plain pack of rolled oats. 1/2 cup - 1 cup water in a pot, add 1/2 teaspoon honey with some raisins. Bring to boil then throw in the oats of an equivalent amount. Mix. Let it dry up for like 1 - 2 minutes, keep stirring .. then take out. Add a bit of walnuts or other nuts/seeds for crunch. I'm kinda addicted now.

Wah I salute you, if you do it twice.

I'm scared of Level 2. I previewed it the other day but then it's like 8+ days down the line so maybe can build up to it.

Talking about honey, do it contain sugar? U talking about what kinda oat? Need to cook one or instant?
*
The one I get is not instant. You can check the shelves they are labeled "rolled oats" at Cold Storage, Giant or stores. You can find them in baking goods stores too (cheaper?) and they're nice to make oatmeal raisin cookies and such blush.gif I'm not sure what the difference is with instant but previously I tried those and didn't like them at all. These need to be cooked but like 1-2 min only.

The honey question is a lil weird and I'm no expert but I presume that the honey is less processed than the sugar. Not all sugar is evil maybe in mass quantities biggrin.gif The 1/2-1 teaspoon of sugar is only about 15-25 calories and for me is really worth it in the oats as they give so much flavor. If you add the same amount of sugar it will taste less so. Honey is 'sweeter' (tasting) than sugar so a little goes a long way. Correct me if I'm wrong of course.

Hmm I am majorly thread-jacking this place and posting a lot today. Dunno if I'm accepted to the challenge or not at that.

myremi - Speedy Video outlets have it now at RM19.90 but I bought it when it came out from Amazon for three times that. Quite a dumb move smile.gif She just came out with 2 more workouts recently but they are 40-60 minute workouts. The reviews are good for those and am very tempted but will probably wait since they're showing Biggest Loser here nowadays so maybe they will bring those in eventually as well.

I like muesli too but prefer it in plain yogurt with mandarin slices (from a can one). The brand I like is called White's, i think. It's pink-red zip pack that's $13 - 14. Not sure how healthy it is but it's superbly crunchy with berries in it.

Registration for this challenge is NOW CLOSED. I made an exception to include redninja and King83.

Thanks tengster for including me even though I was a lil late.

So the challenge is no weighing for the next 30 days? I jumped on my Wii Fit this morning and did not weigh myself since Friday but I liked what I saw. The weekend did not make me gain as i thought.

No 30DS this morning. Yesterday was a bad windy storm at like 3am in SA so it woke me up for like an hour. I need to do the Shred in the mornings and plan to do it on non-weights days. The problem I have is that I am so "anti"-cardio lately! No steady state cardio session in ages. I prefer to do circuit like jumping jacks, mountain climbers, walking lunges etc. for 10 - 15 minutes. But to lose fat need to do more right?

Day 5 Tue - 30DS Level 1 (1/10) = ouchie
Day 6 Wed - Women's Health Belly Off Challenge W1 "Mondays" = felt like barfing by the end even though looked so easy on paper.

You guys too hardcore with your workouts man .. gotta step it up.

I only use 2.5 kg (5.5lbs) dumbells. I tried with 8lbs and couldn't take it.

Maybe you can jump on carpet? I hope my neighbours don't complain ... never thought about it .. I live on 6th floor lol

myremi - yay another 30-Day-Shredster! I'm quite interested in the Cardio Biggest Loser workout .. the one with all 3 of them .. if you get it do let me know how you like it.

If you're talking about the Biggest Loser contestants think they don't use the DVDs lol. They work out like 4-5 hours a day (and have the luxury to do so since it's kinda like their job lol)

I am just wondering, how many of us here actually exercise everyday.
*
I plan to every day but in the end not every day.

Think 5x a week is good enough but even now can't even reach that. Used to do every day! Where's the motivation?

I did Shred on Friday (Day 8) but nothing over the weekend. Diet was quite bad on weekend too but no weight gain thankfully (yep i cheated and went on the Wii Fit)

Fatso checking in!

Did 30 Day Shred a few times, regularly doing that 3 times a week. But then other than that not doing anything .. whoopsie!

Diet is quite bad over long weekend. Sunday even baked cake and had barbecue on Sunday. At least only have chicken filet but had a slice of cake of course (to test lol)

So far lost less than 1 kg (0.7ish) .. with 2 weeks left to lose the remaining 1.3kg.

Swam again for 20 minutes on Tuesday but 30 laps (750m) .. 10 extra from first day. Maybe today will go and do another extra 10 laps to make it 40. It's not awesome length or duration but it's a good start. Did sprints that got heart rate up to 180.

Also some strength training. Military Press. Overhead Squats. Hammer Curls.

Thanks tengster for the extra 0.5 kg it's quite motivating. It got me to start doing some cardio!
