I would actually prefer chicken legs compared to huge legs.

But of course, working the legs is a must to maximize growth and to create a more balanced-looking body. But hey, 99% of the time, nobody notices small legs. They notice a big upper body. To bodybuilders, every aspect is looked at, not only the upper body. But, the ordinary person on the street does not see things the way bodybuilders do. A decent upper body is adequate in their perspective. That's what I think, at least.

Actually even a normal person can notice small legs. especially when the upper body is so significantly much bigger than the legs. i can easliy notice it too even way before i started weight lifting.
but mebbe thats just me

some ppl just workout the upper body more than the leg...they do it intentionally bcoz they just want lean ripped but not so huge...like uhuk-uhuk mentioned, they just target to get a decent upper body...

but then of course if some serious bbers working their upper body parts like hell but not the legs, that's just wasted...

p/s : for a fat ass like me, no problem if want to lepak² at the beach wearing shorts as i'm fat and i dont have chicken legs... tongue.gif

Got a silly question. Does workout at young age will sustain height growing?

Only if you do things with incorrect or potentially dangerous technique or form.

My friend said that dumbell exercise will result in shorter height due to the force acting downwards? Help needed.

Ask your friend to explain Arnold Schwarzeneggar, who started bodybuilding in his teens.

No worries, mate. I actually let my friends make me doubtful and a bit worried about it, up until I did my own research.

Seriously, how heavy is a dumbbell?
You carry your school bag daily pun dah 5-6kg on your back. Did that stunt your growth? No, right?!

Anyway, if you do resistance exercises (e.g. dumbbell work, push ups, pull ups, sprinting, weight lifting, swimming etc), your body releases growth hormones to increase strength and body mass. Growth hormones make you grow, IF you eat right and sleep early.

How can growth hormones make you short?!
Illogical, right?

Unless, you gatal. Lift super heavy weights with no supervision and injure yourself. <--This will cause stunted growth.

How old are you? How tall and how much do you weigh? If its too much then adjust the weights. Go heavy, but not too heavy.
