Your silent does not surprised me and I take it that you have now realized my intention when as a final and only one last chance to try to save the live and living of thousands in Sarawak and also that of the poor innocence Swift lets .I plead for an extension of two years to buy time. Our stay of executions has been upheld and they put in the lateral injection except we are dying a slow and painful death. Please come to our side and support BH owners with BH in shop lots even though it may be disadvantages to owners of standalone BH. I assure you that I have no animonisity against you and want to remain as your friend. A few harsh words will not mean that we cannot share views for the betterment of the bird nest industry.

Can you see the harm done by hairy who now say that swift lets can be hand raise? Yes only 10% survived to proof a point at the expense of thousands of baby swift lets??? I know the cave contractor who brought down thousands of swift lets which are about to fly off stage were hand raise and all perished , with improved technique with the help from a chicken farmer MR. Yong from Kuching only 10% survived. Is this acceptable? Anyone with any comparison and conscience will not allow this practice. Is this call success and can be done?? The situation right now in Sarawak where thousand from day old chicks and about to fly off age were removed to avoid the RM5, 000 compound fine and If even 1% can be save it is worth trying. If some ego centric monster give the impression that we can just take the chicks and relocate them to a standalones, stick some worms or chicken feed into the baby swift lets they will happily fly off then come back and build a new colony. Sad note my BH was raided today at 4.30 pm and statements taken. Supporters came by and I allowed only one to come in and see the Pak Han’s design and the number of marks after nest being removed from a six month old BH surprised the enforcement officers. Even with the surround sound removed 1 week ago one new nest of 1.2 inch high was found and the officer insisted to remove it for evident but another sympathetic officer stopped him saying this man tolong so many people and just put no evident found. So you see the good karma happens to good people also. Watch out hairy.

Believing in karma, I truly believe good and wonderful things would be coming to you soon in the near future.

Uncle Ben, I read from "H" blog that both of you were really close friends at one time (before the T'gganu seminar & up to the Pontianak Seminar, if I am not mistaken). Could you let me know what really happen (or what H did that made you realize otherwise). If anything, this would help newbies from falling into any unwanted bad experience with "H".

I started with a failed BH for 2 years and loss interest. With renewed interest H and Myself attended a seminar in KT by Pak Han. We were all newbie then, and I am still a newbie until I can walk out of my BH with 3 Kgs. Per month then I will be able to claim that I am a” expert”

I sent H photo of myself and B.L. using stress sound to test for suitable area to build BH and my home made BENZOOKA which cost only RM45.00 and doing a super job. I did not realize then H sends his Burmese friend who works in Miri to try twice to secure a copy of the CD from me without success.

In KT H tested for the first time the stress sound which he renamed DURESS and cleverly marketed them and took the bread from many consultants mouth both good and bad. I was given 2 cd by J.Lee who I met in KT and H was also given two copies one called S-out and the other called chasing and within weeks they were copied and renamed Talk To Me and Baby I Love You . Also on this trip Victor ask H to test I cd he bought in Pontianak and the result is awesome in Pontianak. This cd was also copied and sold as “Awesome” very clever.

No we have never been goooood friend and started to feel uneasy on his claim to helping newbie and any money made to be donated to Buddhists Temple and I realized how naive I was when I found out that he is a Muslim and his other name is Ismail. Donating money to a temple ?? MY BUBUT . I shared his sins as I bought him Red Wine in a served no pork Thai Restaurant. I had beer and he drank most of the wine. I am going to hell with him I Guess.

When I found that he toke two young newbie from Kuching for a ride who end up buying more then 4 thousand ringgit of product from him. I realized that this guys intention is not so noble after all. When H was provided free taxi, free seafood and then charged each of them 200 for the first hour and 100 for subsequent hour is the last straw and I need to expose this bogus sifu as I don’t want more newbie to be con by him of their hard earned money.

I have BC from Pak. Han’s collections which was originally from Java a year ago and Pak Han’s first version of Lacua (Its now under lock and key to prevent thieve ) . I don’t where he get his copy of BC . I was told on pretext to test the cd for client end up copy them and marketed for RM500.00 plus RM800.00 plus travelling to tune the amp. To guarantee it works. Such a clever disclaimer if the 500 package does not work or 1300 and kiss my ass sucker if it does not work bad luck need to buy new superior sound amp from him another 5000 ? See how con work ? WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP !!!

David Lim and his gang had been constantly discussing the issue with the Excos since they became Govt last year. The Excos already learned the knowledge and the importance of the industry from DL. Generally, the Excos showed keen support and favour to encourage and promote this industry in Kedah as the Govt is putting focus on agriculture which is more practical to directly benefit the state and the people than other ill-strickened industries at the present global economic slump. They considered it as god sent to help the people. The Excos aware and sympathised with those problems and victimization cases faced by the industry in other states under the BN and also the Sarawak crisis and themselves agreed to do up a painless State GL to set as a good model to help the industry truthfully as far as possible. DL was tasked as unofficial advisor on this matter. DL’s gang has been working and arranging everything including the meeting on 17.02.09 except that all these were under low profile with things going on smoothly and under control.



As ‘H’ suddenly appeared from nowhere ( Later found out a Pegawai was misled to invite him through other Govt official ) DL’s gang knew ‘H’ well with his hidden agenda and motive would mess up and delay the Govt’s plan, thus they invited him to join the team and even offered him post of committee to help out. DL did not reveal what actually transpired as he wanted to test the sincerity of H. But H was too arrogant and refused. He even boshes he is business partner of Dr Redzuan of Haiwan and it was arranged by him. He did not realise DL’s task and mission and he even challenged DL’s gang to see if the official would invite and listen to them. Despite this, DL and gang still kept on appealing as DL groomed and treasured him and hoped to wake him up to bring him back to the right track but failed. (You can refer to H’s blog of his own unwitting confession) H didn’t know that the gang did not need to even make presentation in the meeting as they knew earlier that the MB would make the same to support the industry.

He likes easy money to the extent of cheating. He is very smart and vocal. A first class salesman. In order to break into Chinese dominated BH industry, he disguised under the name of HARRY KOK instead of his real name ISMAIL AHMAD. Ismail and his family live in KL. Their hometown is in Sg Petani where he has his only BH. As his wife is a Chinese, he knows well of Chinese culture. Many of his clients despite after many dealings still did not realise that he is not a Chinese. He seldom admits of being a Malay esp to Chinese newbies. He only discloses as Malay when he gets Malay sucker. Chinese thought he is a BABA and thus he behaves, eats, drinks like a Chinese. He has a hidden agenda that he wants to rub shoulder with top guns in Govt Dept to get the recognition to be appointed as some form of an advisor so he can fish for personal gains. This rightfully is none of our concern just as long as he does not do it at the expense of the industry by misleading the authority to put us into deeper trouble. There is nothing wrong for Malay or any race to come in this trade and even become a real expert. They are good, bad and ugly in all races. In fact, we do have many Malay brother owners who are very close with us. We used to have Teh Tarik in Nasi Kandar till 4 am on weekends talking of birdy story. Some are real good and knowledgeable consultants. They build for Chinese owners as well. One very fine example is Haji Aziz Rezab of GEM. He himself has got no less than 10 BHs either owned solely or shared. Many are in towns.


All the old Chinese and Malay friends of Ismail Ahmad in Kedah who know him for decades are compelled to expose his wrong doing this way. But what choice do we have? He refused to U-turn. Could we just sit tight and let him to jeopardise and destroyed this industry in which all our hard earned life savings and lifelines are placed and depended on solely?


My friend, you know what Ismail answered when the PBT officials requested him to pass the message to the appropriate associations to send representatives to liaise with the Dept? He advised the officials that all the committee are useless and not interested and also that it is better not to have them inside the meetings for fear that they would turn the whole meeting upside down. He alone can handle as he is a well known consultant. (Read up his own confession in his blog below)



So, aerohead, you still think that we should thank Ismail Ahmad@Harry Kok and take chance that we may face the same crisis which our Sarawakian brothers are facing right now? You want that?

We suggest and appeal that those who have blog or website on swiftlet to copy these posts exposing his crime onto theirs or link it to this forum so to save some newbies from being preyed by this No 1 PUBLIC ENEMY of the industry. If everyone of us start spreading the news of Harry Kok to all our BH owner friends now, we believe in one year he will disappear.

many thanks to you, uncle Ben and the rest of you guys out there for enlightening us with all these background information. These are very useful information for all swiftlet farmers newbies or not.

I am sure we are all very attached to our birdhouse. The time we spend dreaming about it, planing & building it, the many hours spent alone counting birds and sweating like mad climbing ladders, experimenting & trying to figure out what works or what does not. Some have achieve their dream, many have not. The BH is a part of us or we have become a part of the BH. Whether there is only 1 bird or 10000 birds staying we do not wish to see our BH destroyed. The message from this hairy episode should by now be clear to everyone - Don't Anyone Dare To Destroy Our Hardwork.

I would suggest a solution for the Bh @ town , a win win situation where the Pro and Anti BHs can coexist . As we speak for the BH owners and we must also take into consideration for the general public concerned of their health. Although, we know that Swifltet’s shit are harmless to human and that human andswiftlets can coexist, we need to think of their fear and concerned….I would if I do not know and I wouldn’t take the trouble to know or should I?????
My suggestions are that
1. All new BHs@ town should follow some form of guildlines to ensure that all have been done to ensure others of their safety, health and welfare.
2. I would suggest that all BHs have the following:
a. At no time should there be any contact between the general public and the BHs by sealing the smell, pollution and sound away from the public.
b. Instate of Ventilations holes facing the outside, they should be all diverted up to the ceiling and eco filtering like having a roof garden for example . ( I may have a design)
c. All external of the building should be maintained as normal and internal walls must be added to both front and back and ventilations holes are only allow from the top to prevent any sound, pollution and smell from going out and falling on to the public, thus minimize any complaints.

d. All human entrance should from the back lane to minimize any disturbance to business @ shop, like removing birds’ waste and birdnests not to mention dirty clothing and shoes. All entrance should first lead to a bathroom to clean up before leaving the BHs.
e. Sound system should be at approved level and that all sounds . external (70% facing up) and internal should be turn off by 8 pm. At present, most of our complaints are from the internal sound which are disturbing neighbors’ sleep. even my neighbours and my family living in housing estate is complaining about the BH shop lots behind giving them sleepless night and after complaints, a few weeks of soundless and good sleep and then again Saturday night fever begin. Luckily , most of us either are BH owners or having members of family in this industry, else don't know what will happen!!!!! Personally, I have been successful without any internal sound. In the middle of the night, even cricket sounds so loud.
f. Instate of action taken on the BHs, the local council should encourage all existing BHs to follow the above by giving incentive like reduce license rate like A type(50% discount), B type(25%) or C type(no discount). Action to demolish should only be taken on the very stubborn to ensure harmony, peace and happiness for all and not only for the BH owners.

Again, above are my personal suggestion to curb the present BHs complaints and mostly what if and if it happens. What you don't see or hear you don't complain.

How do you know it is bird flu? Just because there are other type of birds found dead, and the Majlis is talking of bird flu? Can you please tell us where are you from? May be we can send someone pro over to help clarify, just in case the officer thinks he knows a lot.


Are you going to clarify it alone? If there is occurence of bird flu, it is already in the front page of all papers. Within tens of km in radius would be declared prohibited zone with everybody living there quarantined in hospital. Refer the officer to the local Haiwan. They will be able to explain better. If not give us the contact of the Majlis, we have professional to talk to them.

HI, brother.. I said that I unterstand there are no bird flu in BH.
Do you know what I mean? I just want to collect some more supported document to show that Bird FLu is away from BH. !!
