something i dont like about celcom...they didnt have good supplementary line plan....

if celcom do have something like digi/maxis which have RM30 commitment supp line plan (which have best call rates, not like celcom Rm0.30 per minute for 1+5), maybe i will switch from smarter to the widest.....

You need to be holding CEP20 for about <edited> 6 months before you will be allowed to use 1+5 plan.
The free call time is 40 hours for each number ... not cumulative for all numbers under the same account.

Sorry my mistake, it is not 1 year but only 6 months.

I suggest you use a combo of CEP50 + (1+5). CEP 20 is not a commitment fee but more like access fee. Means you'll be charged for the calls under CEP20 since they are not free like CEP50 which gives you some free calls/sms.

Hi, can anyone help me out?

My dad just switched to the 1 +5 line and recently we just got our bill. My dad's the principal and I'm the supplementary line and I was wondering, this month's bill was only RM40 and listed in the bill were only of my dad's usage.

My usage was not printed and not billed at all! Is this right? Or will there be another separate bill for mine? Thanks! wub.gif

Don't panic ! You will be provided with a seperate bill. One for your dad and one for you.
I know you are thinking that Celcom practices like what Maxis does - principal and supplementary in one bill. The answer is NO, Celcom provides separate bills for the principal and supplementary(s).

The T&C is written in a way that I can safely say that you'll get 40 hrs per month between principal and supplementary lines. You can walk to Celcom center and confirm about the 80 hours. BTW ... 40 hours is a lot (I barely use even half) and you need 80 hours per month ?

Assuming you talk to yr GF for 1 hour a day (already an overkill if you ask me) ... and multiply by 30 days. It will only come up to about 30 hours.

wow, its already 2nd version... rclxms.gif
so, about the bonus, the TnC stated its for 10 days usage only..
anyone have further info about this? becoz i think previously, there is no validity period for the bonus, isnt it..
i thought there is someone here who works with celcom...
maybe can clarify about this..

yes, now it come with 10 days validity.. because after the 10th day, your remaining bonus credit (if any) will be deducted..

i think that is not really bad.. celcom want to give special gift during CNY, and you have to use that gift during CNY only. it can be used for any purpose, for call/sms/mms/video call/internet/gprs/etc during 10 days CNY..

and at the end, after CNY is over.. your original reloaded airtime balance is still there.

My first time here.

I reloaded RM30 after receiving a text sms from celcom saying that I'll be getting RM10 on the 10th Feb 09.

Is everyone receiving the credit on the 10th? Is the credit only valid for 10 days after 10th? hmm.gif

I didn't get the free credit after reload

Probably because I'm using S.O.X tongue.gif

but I'm not complaining! I'm currently enjoying the rate RM0.15 calls to any number any network until my sister is 26! She's 16 now!

UOX rate is way so attractive... i'm on xpax and it's kinda expensive tho... hmm...

wink.gif
*
If you cant find a way to register SOX or UOX, my suggestion to you is opt for celcom postpaid CEP 50.

Using this CEP line, you need to use at least RM50 a month (combination of calls & sms). If you use less, you'll still be charged RM50.

Call rate is the same as SOX/UOX but can be cheaper if u use more than RM60 due to the 10-30% discount. SMS flat RM0.12 (sms slightly expensive compared to SOX/UOX)

Dont worry about over-using your postpaid line since now you can always monitor your unbilled usage using #118* and press 9 for My bill.

Online account for postpaid online is a bit slow in updating unbilled transaction.

I think celcom hasnt implemented that 40 hours limit yet. but 40 hours is not enough fot you? doh.gif

I dont think that's possible since 1+5 line is only for minimum CEP 50

I registered a CEP 50 line and gave it to my wife and the supplementary 1+5 is for me to use. wanted to change the CEP 50 to CEP 20 but celcom TTDI said not possible

i was of the opinion that they implemented it on the 1 of nov, and from the t and c of the exec 20 plan from the celcom website u can register for the 1+5 with the exec 20 provided u have been on the exec 20 plan for 6 mths. i want to know how strict they are with the latter rule...

Thanks!  wub.gif
*
There will be another separate bill for your number. You can check your current charge, unbilled charge and last pymt by sms BOD to 22200 or call *118# choose my bill.

Current charge - current billed amount
Unbilled charge - current usage
Total charge - currently u owe (accumulative)

I wanna register a new principal line and another supplementary line just for the purpose of using it as a secondary line to enjoy free calls between the two lines (1+5 plan). I hope you understand what i meant.

I found out that if I register the principal line using CE20 package, I can only register another supplementary line in 6 months time. THat's too freaking long for me.

So I thought, hey, can I just register the principal line using CE50 for 1 month and then after 1 month downgrade it to CE20 since CE50 allows me to register a supplementary line straight away.

Is it possible?

Some people told me that I can only downgrade after 3 months of usage.

Yes, u can register CE50 with 1+5 plan, then after 1 month u can request to downgrade to CE 20 at any Celcom branch. Cause CE50 dont have any agreement or contract..So you can register it.. rclxms.gif

unbilled charges is the usage amount (calls & Sms) from a day after your last bill until recent/current. For postpaid user, call #118* and choose "My Bill". Wait for the sms to come

I'm using CEP50 and subscribed to 1+5 like you're

no, you cannot share credit because both line are actually 2 seperate account.
You'll be given 2 seperate bills, 2 different account number

basically, your minimum for CEP50 is RM53 (RM50 commitment + RM3 itemised billing)

and you minimum 1+5 is RM5.++ (access). that ++ is tax

Might be your dad account installed VAS (Value added services) such as Itemize bill (RM3 per month) or CLIR (Private Number service; RM5 per month) and etc + 5% government tax so total up bout RM60.

To reconfirm, pls ask your dad to call 1111 double check the packages.

I took this from celcom site & called celcom. they conformed this..

The 1+5 plan is not a stand alone plan and MUST be attached to CEP20 or any CEP as principal line and shall be registered under the principal's name.

Now you can register CEP20 & 1+5! No need to wait 6 months

yup, you're suppose to be charge rm36 (during rm6/24hours promotion till 28january) if you're subsribing the daily unlimited plan..

the rm250 charge (maximum data charge) is because you're not subsribing the broadband daily unlimited.

you need to subsribe broadband daily unlimited first, just dial *118# and select Broadband from the menu to subscribe.

if you didn't receive any confirmation about your broadband request status, please check your broadband status by typing sms BROADBAND STATUS and send to 28882 or simply call celcom careline 1111 and speak to the operator about your broadband status, before you start surfing.

Note: after promotional period, daily unlimited fee is back to normal which is rm8/24hours internet access..

yup, you're suppose to be charge rm36 (during rm6/24hours promotion till 28january) if you're subsribing the daily unlimited plan..

the rm250 charge (maximum data charge) is because you're not subsribing the broadband daily unlimited.

you need to subsribe broadband daily unlimited first, just dial *118# and select Broadband from the menu to subscribe.

if you didn't receive any confirmation about your broadband request status, please check your broadband status by typing sms BROADBAND STATUS and send to 28882 or simply call celcom careline 1111 and speak to the operator about your broadband status, before you start surfing.

Note: after promotional period, daily unlimited fee is back to normal which is rm8/24hours internet access..

My dad took the 1 + 5 plan, on his bill indicated that he is under the 1 + 5 plan but in my bill, I'm under the CEP 50.... How's that so? Aren't I supposed to be under the 1 + 5 plan since I'm the supplementary and he's the principal?

Thanks!

oic. i'm just want to confirm about the last one (no. 6 is it?), about the notification sms of forfeiting the unused credit.

before this (during CNY), they told about this also (forfeiting thingy), but i think no credit is deducted after the 10 days......
thats why i am asking..

Hi fellow celcom users smile.gif been reading the thread and am very glad to find the info i need smile.gif Thanks peeps! thumbup.gif

i need some further clarification regarding the 1+5 plan:
1. If i register for CEP50 with the 1+5 Plan, does that mean i would be paying RM58 every month? (RM50 + RM3 bill + RM5 if i register only 1 supplementary)?
2. Are the call/sms/mms rates that apply to me for non 1+5 numbers also apply to my supplementary if she makes calls to other numbers?
3. Would the supplementary be under the CEP50 plan and be billed RM53 per month (including bill) as well?

i know i can get this info at any celcom dealers, but i'd rather get an opinion from users rather than salesmen, haha.. wink.gif

is it the first month bill? first month bill normally higher because of stamp duty charge, etc.. or perhap you're accidentally using gprs service..

1. Yes (provided that u didn't use more than rm50 on your main line, and didn't make any call out to other number on your supp line)
2. Nope, main line rates is 15sen/min call and 12sen/sms while supp line rates is 30sen/min call and 10sen/sms.
3. Supplementary line will be billed separately, and the bill is different from CEP50 because the package is different.

i suggest you to check your e-statement through http://wsc.celcom.com.my so you know what is the charge for..

gprs/3g is a data services.. u can use it to browse internet or wap site on your phone, download mobile content, etc.

but thats not all, some handphone model nowadays may connect to gprs/3g in order to use it function.. for example, HTC theme required to obtain line weather reports, some walkman series phone connect to internet when u using it to retrieve song/album title, sometime java application too connect to gprs/3g, etc, etc..

previously, i have a celcom sim card (my old number). when use it with my phone...ok. no problem.
now, i change to a new package with new sim card (new number too). 80% of the calls are not clear...with many static noise and keep intermittently no sound. when the people on the other side of the phone says " where are you going"...all i hear is "e u in". very poor signal.

but the hand phone still remain the same.
why? do i ned to change a new sim card? where can i do that? need to pay extra money?

Troubleshoots to solution:
1. Try to put your problematic sim into another handphone and test, problem still persist, follow ste 2.
2. Call 1111 and inform them your problem, if they ask you to do the same thing as the (1) tell them you did, request them to do a service failure for you whereby you have bad speech quality, if after case resolved but problem still persist, I think they will request you to proceed to branch for a new sim.
3. To change to a new sim will charge you RM5.

dis is my 1st bill

Description Amount(RM) Due Date
Overdue Charges -50.00
Current Charges 85.39 03/03/2009
Total Amount Due 35.40

whereas my sup line

Description Amount(RM) Due Date
Overdue Charges -25.00
Current Charges 46.77 03/03/2009
Total Amount Due 21.75

sorry to be so blunt..
but wat's that mean?

the commitment fee is rm50 rite..

how much should i pay then?
rm50 or rm35.4 + rm 21.75?

1 more thing..
if i subscribe daily unlimited broadband,
will it be included in my rm50(commitment fee)?

you only need to pay RM35.40 + RM21.75 only

i believe the negative(-) overdue charge -50 is because of your deposit/advance payment made, that will ofset your bill. so your bill will be deducted from rm85.39 to rm35.40 only.

same goes with your supp line, you already pay rm25 during registration rite, so that is why they deduct it back in your first bil.

edited:
forgot about daily unlimited.. yes, it will be included in your comitment rm50.

damn! the credit transfer doesnt work... everytime i do airtime transfer, the system blocks me by sending me a sms back of 'transaction failed. <my nos> is not allowed to use celcom airtime transfer'. no reason given.

and i'm guessing it's becoz i still have the rm10 free credits and that's why i cant use the service... once my rm10 finish used up or the credit being forfeited only i can use back the credit transfer...

called up celcom support and they know nothing about it... mad.gif walau~ tis is what we call support ha? doh.gif celcom support is alwiz lousy... hai~ but they have the best coverage, no choice gotto bear wif it... duH~ shakehead.gif

no choice lor... next time free credits wif terms and condition makes no diff if i'm not a heavy user... cheh~

same goes with your supp line, you already pay rm25 during registration rite, so that is why they deduct it back in your first bil.

edited:
forgot about daily unlimited.. yes, it will be included in your comitment rm50.

great..
thanks epool86..

the blue cube staff said, free call between sub are limited to 40hrs

damn! the credit transfer doesnt work... everytime i do airtime transfer, the system blocks me by sending me a sms back of 'transaction failed. <my nos> is not allowed to use celcom airtime transfer'. no reason given.

and i'm guessing it's becoz i still have the rm10 free credits and that's why i cant use the service... once my rm10 finish used up or the credit being forfeited only i can use back the credit transfer...

called up celcom support and they know nothing about it...  mad.gif  walau~ tis is what we call support ha?  doh.gif  celcom support is alwiz lousy... hai~ but they have the best coverage, no choice gotto bear wif it... duH~  shakehead.gif

no choice lor... next time free credits wif terms and condition makes no diff if i'm not a heavy user... cheh~

that was not the first u use credit transfer isnt it? tongue.gif (about all the register, passsword thingy...)
so, celcom already countermeasure about this possibility sweat.gif ....very strict eh, LOL
why dont u try to transfer it on the last day, nearly 12.00, with hope they already 'unlock' the credit transfer things.. brows.gif
if still doesnt work, then just download anything, like games to consume all the bonus remaining... smile.gif

AFAIK, for 1+5 plan, i thought the 40 hours is for each of them, not the main only.
btw, its still not implemented yet now...
that means u can get unlimited calls between main-sub (and sub-main also).

ported from hotlink. there's not much different in terms of call rates actually. SMS is very expensive with xpax though. Hotlink charges 7sen/sms within network and 15sen/sms inter operator. Xpax is charging 10sen/sms & 20sen/sms respectively. Since I'm quite a heavy sms user, it is quite a burden.

However I ported to celcom coz maxis network is getting lousier by the day. Each time I receive a call in my room, I need to run to the living room to ensure clear signal. Sometimes I receive sms/missed call notification few hours later because the signal got lost while the phone was being left in the room. rclxub.gif

At the moment I'll live with the expensive sms charges until maxis buck up or celcom lower the sms charges. thumbup.gif

i believe you're using xpax mid plan.. if you think you love sms, why dont switch to lite plan, only 5sen to celcom and 15sen to non-celcom (if im not mistaken).

@blackpc,
noted. at first it seemed weird for someone to port from hotlink (quite expensive) to XPAX (more expensive!, LOL). but u said its due to coverage, so it does make sense.

then instead of xpax, why dont u go for postpaid plan.
since u said u r heavy sms user, i guess ur monthly usage is not less than 50, isnt it.
then cep50 might suit u.smile.gif

and i said this with assumption u r older than 26 years old.

i heard complaint from some maxis postpaid user that they tied under 6 months contract, however u may contact maxis to clarify about this.

regarding on comitment fee, eventhough maxis total comitment is rm80, but u can share the credit both of you. but celcom cannot, celcom principal line comitment fee is rm50, while supp line no comitment fee, just pay access fee rm5 per month..

- maxis (total rm80 per month, all rm50 in term of airtime)
- celcom (total rm55 per month, which is rm50 in term of airtime and rm5 access fee).

so choose which suit your need. you can also opt to CEP20 to be a principle line with rm20 access fee (but if im not mistaken, u need to use it for 3 or 6 month first before u are allowed to sign up supp line under it)

i didn't get my salary yet.. how to reload lol..

by the way, i agree with you.. its like having a free call and sms for 7 days but limited to rm50 worth of call only (when you reload rm100).

i think from marketing view, it is better for celcom to promote like this (free call/sms for 7 days when reload rm100 for example).. maybe could attract more people.

but from consumer view, it is better they give it in term of credit like this because consumer can see how much they already spent the credit and easy to manage the free airtime for whatever purpose they want...

yeah, but if u use UOX (extreme long validity), and still got hundreds credit... then i guess its only surplus... cool2.gif (since the bonus comes with 7-day validity...)
what i am curious to know, is the reason they give it on this day...err, today is their ceo's birthday perhaps? tongue.gif
so the realsitic thing to do is, only topup the amount which give bonus credit equivalent to ur 1-week usage. smile.gif
sounds freak if topup 100 and ur weekly usage is rm 10-20 only... sweat.gif

Im one of the Celcom fans, have been using its since TM Touch days. Even my simcard is the TM Touch one.So far, Im satisfied with all services Celcom have provide but Im not really satisfied with its bonus. I know UOX offer more value but I can only use it for 2 years and I have to change my phone numbers that i've been using since Im 15.sigh.

I hope Celcom will appreciate its loyal user by giving more bonus and gift. biggrin.gif

a fren of mine reload rm100 to get rm50 free.. i ask him how u gonna finish rm50 within one week, he said he want to subscribe daily unlimited broadband for 7 days (7 x rm6 = rm42) lol .. at least he got free internet for the whole week.. thumbup.gif

by the way, this is celcom latest financial report which had been published yesterday

QUOTE
Strong Operational Growth by Celcom

Celcom continued its stellar performance, delivering its best quarterly performance of the year, despite intensifying competition, weakened macro-economic conditions and uncertainties of MNP. Recording an unprecedented 11th consecutive quarter of growth, Celcom saw solid revenue of RM5.6 billion, a rise of 10% YoY and 4% QoQ.

Concerted efforts and focus on segmented marketing yielded encouraging results. Total subscribers grew to 8.8 million with 483 thousand postpaid net additions driven by new acquisition drive. Similarly, the prepaid segment saw net additions rising to 1.1 million on the back of successful segment based marketing campaigns.

Mobile Broadband saw continued success with a striking 27% growth QoQ in customers, marking the highest for the year. Celcom will continue to focus on this segment to capitalise on the growth opportunity due to low broadband penetration in Malaysia, currently less then 20% per household.

Contributing 56% to Group EBITDA, margins improved from 44.6% to 45.2% amidst cost escalations in the last two quarters. Network cost saving initiatives and growth in revenue drove margins improvement. PATAMI in 2008 was RM1.3 billion a rise of 23% YoY. As a key contributor to the Group in terms of EBITDA and cash, there will be continued focus on fundamentals and operational efficiencies at Celcom whilst preserving the growth momentum.
finally i know why suddently they are giving suprise bonus yesterday.. because of this financial result, they want to celebrate it with us lol rclxms.gif

i reloaded RM50 to get te RM20 free credit. but since i'm using the UOX plan, to finish up RM2 a day is quite tough! but then again, like i said earlier, i'll just treat it as free calls for the next one week. but if i cant finish up the rm20 credit, i'll just ask anybody to make call using my phone. hehe

celcom make profit a lot..yesterday i gave them run for their money...

call customer service....asked about my last bill details...questioned them about my international roaming charges...

finally they admit, they overcharged !! the charge me rm8/min for call from germany to malaysia... whereas, it should be only rm4/min..... wtf... not wonder they gain so much profit..... lucky i have the effort to check and ask them....if no, they'll be making free money....

the customer service officer apologize & said they will rebate back the amount my bill been overcharged in next bill...

MOBILE operator Celcom (Malaysia) Bhd says its customer base grew by 22 per cent in 2008, the fastest in three years, despite a saturated market.

Almost everyone in Malaysia, or about 93 per cent, has a handphone, and operators like Celcom, Maxis Communications Bhd and DiGi.Com Bhd are finding it hard to win new customers.

Celcom added 1.56 million new customers last year, bringing its total to 8.76 million.

"The growth in net additions (net adds) is mainly driven by our greater execution of segment focus strategy and segmented marketing," Celcom chief executive officer Datuk Seri Shazalli Ramly said in a briefing in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

Last year, the company launched various initiatives and products. For example, it launched Sukses, a prepaid plan mainly for Indonesians staying in the country.

It is also believed that Celcom has gained a significant subscriber market share last year, mainly at the expense of rival DiGi.

Based on Celcom's internal estimates, the second largest mobile phone operator grew its market share to 32.5 per cent last year (30.9 per cent a year ago). DiGi's market share fell by 1.2 per cent to 26.2 per cent, while Maxis' market share dropped 0.4 per cent to 41.3 per cent.

Officially, Celcom's 2008 net adds is more than double DiGi's 2008 net adds, which is about 700,000 users, while Maxis has yet to disclose its numbers.

"What's more important for us is revenue growth, not so much about subscriber growth," said Shazalli.

Celcom's sales rose 10.1 per cent to a record RM5.6 billion, while net profit grew by 23 per cent to RM1.3 billion. The telecom company also improved its operating profit margins to 45.2 per cent from 44.6 per cent.

However, Shazalli was tight-lipped on the company's 2009 projections.

Chief financial officer Mohd Adlan Ahmad Tajudin said Celcom's mobile broadband business is set to grow the fastest this year.

Last year, the division grew subscribers by 300 per cent to 228,000 users. It also had the highest BlackBerry subscriber growth in Southeast Asia for business clients.

Yes. If you don't make any calls to other number(s) and DID NOT subscribe to any VAS (Value Added Services such as CLIR -Private number-, itemise bill), it's only cost you RM5 + 5% government tax each month. There is a 40hours and 2000smses limit for 1+5 plan. So if you exceed 40hours talk time within 1+5, you will be charged accordingly.
Celcom has announced that 40hours and 2000sms limitation but not sure whether it is officially launched yet.

2. on a first registration, i need to pay rm25...in a first month, there is a stamp duty charge+access fee...so, it can be deduct from my rm25 or not???
The RM25 is for 1st time registration fee + stamp fee + access fee. No deduction. After 1st month, the following month will be RM5 + 5% government tax only if you call as above (1).

Main line depend on what plan you use.
CEP 50 = RM50 commitment fee. If you make call/sms/data exceed RM50, you pay the amount you used.

40hours call/sms is shared among mainline and subline(s).
2. the charge if i'm using 3g internet, it will add with rm50 or it will be include in rm50?
If you use it as pay per used then it's included in your CEP 50's RM50. Pay per used meaning that you did not subscribe to any monthly or daily unlimited broadband internet service.

hope u all can understand my questions,

monthly access fee is a fixed fee you need to pay eveymonth, it not include your usage..
eg,
if you use rm0 this month.. your bill we become rm0 + rm20 = rm20
if you use rm15 this month.. your bill we become rm15 + rm20 = rm35
if you use rm60 this month.. your bill we become rm60 + rm20 = rm80

while comitment fee is a minimum usage you need to spent eveymonth.. use less still need to pay rm50, use more of course pay more.. lol
eg,
if you use rm0 this month.. your bill we become rm50
if you use rm15 this month.. your bill we become rm50
if you use rm60 this month.. your bill we become rm60

i've been trying to pay online on https://wsc.celcom.com.my/webselfcare/login.aspx since last week.

my line got barred, i submitted my credit card to pay, no worky, my card wasn't charged. i faxed the receipt to them, my line getting barred everyday and i call to unbar everyday. (and FYI the card is working perfectly). i have since opted to use another card that was already registered on their tele-order last year (which by the way, worked at first and after that couldn't work, and the card works perfectly).

so this is frustrating me massively. and i ask where can i walk in to pay, they ask me go to their HQ in jalan ampang.. i am in berjaya times square and there's maxis, u mobile, digi here. i go sungai wang also they got maxis and digi. shit lah ask me go all the way there to pay them? idiots. i've been a customer for 3 years now, and their system always fail, want to pay also susah like hell. ask them go die lah.

FYI, main line is not unlimited call to subline, its apply 40 hours free and 2000 sms free to you, same to ur sub.
meaning you have 40 hour + 2000 sms free to call you sub, your sub have 40 hour + 2000 sms free to call you.

i get some internal information that celcom will introduce broadband prepaid starter pack.. price rm25, included with preloaded credit rm20.. you can use it for internet as follows

- rm6 for One day (24hours) internet access
- rm20 for One week internet access

but the max speed is 384kbps only.

not bad huh, rm20 for one week.. the good thing is its prepaid, and we can subsribe it only when we need.

but i afraid the celcom network will become much more congested with this new broadband prepaid plan.. damn! please increase your bandwidth capacity first before launching any new plan like this.. u must give priority to current broadband users..

Screw Celcom. Their shitty customer service been giving me crap everyday.
I really regret going for Celcom. Going to cancel my line once I settle all problems with Celcom.

To new users... Beware! Celcom is worse than DiGi/Maxis!

edit: I've opened up 3 reports since last week. It has already been 5 days since the last report has been made, but there's no progress at all!
The problem I'm having is that the I am being charged for my 3G data usage by the minute, even though I am on a 3G Unlimited package. Accoding to them, this will be sorted out at the bill. But the problem is, my account is being barred because of it being over the limit. I've been talking to the shitty customer service everyday, till I know most of them by name. Everyday my account is unbarred. And the next day it's barred again.

Seriously screw celcom. Really piece of shit telco.

mine also experience billing problem lately... i still didn't receive my bill in february and now march already also didn't receive.. funny story is, when i chek via online customer service it only show the bill that out on last january, which i actually already paid 2 month ago.. and the system show that the ammount is overdue and waiting for payment lol..

same goes when i check via sms BOD, and calling 1111.. but i did't spoke with the officier, only the system check for me..

so i dont know how much is my bill in february and now march already.. last week i paid rm250 via online banking to avoid call baring.. i simply paid rm250 because i dont know how much is the actual bil.. feeling lazy to spoke to the careline, or visit their branches just to check bil..

about the daily unlimited broadband or monthly unlimited broadband.. there're few similiar case reported before.. user who're subsribing any of the packages still being charged pay per use.. shakehead.gif

celcom must solve all this problem immediately, otherwise people wont trust u anymore..

celcom daily broadband suck. during download suddenly 'host not found'. reconnect again and again. at the end linux iso 'md5 checksum fail'.

daily bb block https. cannot post blogger comment, login secure website

last time daily rm8/days is hsdpa speed. this time umts speed. last time error in red, this time error in blue.

if prepaid brodband using daily broadband system the answer is celcom suck.

im testing broadband daily using celcom blue.

about celcom daily unlimited problem, actually its not happen every time. i know because i also using it so many times since it has been introduced, before i subsribe the monthly unlimited package..

even after i subsribe the monthly unlimited package, i still subscribe daily unlimited sometime (for some reason, such as if want to surf on my 2nd handphone, or if my fren want internet connection using my hp as a modem, etc)

if some people here said that daily unlimited is useless at all, i not agree.. because there a lot of time when i subscribe the service is ok. only sometime is not ok..

celcom prepaid broadband officially launched yesterday.. the same day on digi broadband launches.. and just a day before maxis iphone 3g launches.. is this a coincident? lol..

or maybe digi wait the right time to launches their 3g broadband, to less the maxis iphone publicity in market.. and celcom also join the party by launching first broadband prepaid in the market.. so people wont talk about maxis iphone so much haha.. thumbup.gif

when digi pre-lauches their broadband with 10GB quota.. suddently celcom announce they will increase their quota also to 10GB soon.. and digi respon back by increasing the quota to 50GB blink.gif

by the way, i saw celcom prepaid broadband ads on tv3 repeated so many times last night..

and also, today when i try to check at *118#, and choose My Broadband, there are new package called 'Weekly Unlimited'.. its available now..

yeah, of course you can express your opinion and frustation here.. but i believe what Mr Cola mean is dont repeat it over and over without any additional point tongue.gif

its from the moment u subsribe.. let say u start subsribe 1.30pm this afternoon, then u can surf until 1.30pm tomorrow.. after that it will expired and will be back to pay per use charge 10sen/10kb.. so please stop surf before it expired hehe..

by the way, i heard some people said that daily unlimited usage quota is 1GB only, while weekly unlimited usage quota is 2GB only, and monthly unlimited usage quota is 5GB only cry.gif

that is why i only download 2 movie every month.. because usually one movie size is about 1GB, so two movie only use 2GB of my monthly quota.. and the rest 3GB will be used for my normal surfing.. that is what i call a bandwith management haha

YAY!!!

in that case, I have to consider all my calls between today until 29th March is free of charge!

Last month the validity of the free credit was between 26 Feb - 4 March

This month the validity of the free credit is between 22 March - 28 March.

I've no complain since for month of MARCH, because of the free credit, my calls between
1-4 March - FREE
5-21 March - NORMAL (PAY)
22-28 March - FREE
29-31 March - NORMAL (PAY)

so, 11 days out of 31 days, all my phone calls n SMS are FREE!! Thank you celcom!! icon_rolleyes.gif

Check your current prepaid plan:
Call 1111 to check your plan. Verification needed.

Migration:
Send "MIG MID" to 28882 to migrate from Blue plan to Mid plan. First migration is FOC, RM5 for 2nd time onwards.

Pls don't provide wrong info. Prepaid plan migration or plan inquiries can be done via careline/sms method.

i open celcom wap site, and found MeTV in fun stuff section.. when i click it, its a galery where users can upload and share their picture and video with others.. when i click any of the image/video from the galery, it said 35sen/download. haha

i would say its a mini flickr or mini youtube for celcom users.. but the different is you must pay to download/view the picture/movie. am i correct?

I did not explain "why" need to do what to migration, I explained "how" to do migration. If you're so frustrated about postpaid migration can only be done at branch, you can complaint it to MCMC. You will be getting their feedback really soon. rclxms.gif

Oh, it's still cheaper than Digi and Hotlink 365 but call and sms rates expensive compared to all telcos.

When i check my balance using *118#, it says "valid until 24/4/2009". I thought suppose to expire on my 26th birthday which is next year. What could be the problem? Oh yeah, i am on UOX.

Read properly. He wrote wrong address. I guess tough situation as he is in the wrong.
Unless the postman ask for the person but no 1 staying in that house, meaning wrong address and definitely will send back to the post office.

is it true that celcom 3g network not stable??

coz im using sony erricsson phone...set the network GSM and 3G..

but it hard to make call or received a call...

i go to celcom center and they told me to change to GSM network only..

and they tell me that 3G network not stable..

I'm not sure about video calls, but sometimes I use Google Maps on my phone using 3G. And the software had to be refreshed at times because the connection was unresponsive sweat.gif

hi , i'm struggling whether to switch to celcom, currently my company had a business plan with celcome, the voice and video rate are free within the employee who subscribe these plan, else is flat rm 0.10 to any network and the sms rate is rm0.10 also. but if got subscribe to the massage value add rm2.00 for every month then to celcom is RM 0.02 . the plan is without monthly commitment fee ... currently i'm a maxis user and my maxis plan was value 50 ... voice call is rm0.12 within the network and rm 0.15 for offnet, sms is rm0.05 within same network is 0.10 for off net.... so, is it worth to switch to celcom ? the contract for celcome is 2 year , any termination within the contract period need to pay rm 150 for penalty fee. so confuse now ...

i 'cabar' Celcom to reduce their Xpax/Blue call rates to 28sen/min FLAT to any network haha.. dare or not?

for UOX/SOX already cheap.. its acceptable, and actually still competitive.

not really, hotlink was the pioneer, launching the campuse/hotlink zone few years back.
just recently they opt to revive that old plans...

I meant by concept of usage. Meaning for hotlink campuszone, it would be cheaper rate when you are in your campus zone.
For UOX at that point, it is all network, and doesn't matter whether you are in campuszone a not.

But good thing is, Hotlink catch up at last and even better rate! rclxms.gif

Hey, I need some help. My phone is pin locked, but tonight, my nephew played with it and pressed the keys like crazy. Now i have to enter the PUK code, is there anyway I can get it besides calling the hotline? Because, I was expecting an important call and that call might be tonight.

I am using Xpax prepaid by the way. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

you only have 4 options to save your life..

1. check your simcard holder (if it still existed lol), the PUK is on the backside of your original simcard holder given by celcom

2. if you had already registered Celcom Online Customer service before, you can simply login at http://wsc.celcom.com.my to retrieve your PUK number

3. just borrow any of your fren's mobile phone (celcom only) and call celcom free careline 1111, and ask your PUK

4. go to any celcom branches to get your PUK number

*please do not enter invalid PUK number more than 10 times, otherwise your simcard will be permanently unusable.

*moral of the story, do not enable simcard PIN unless you're really need it.. use phone lock code instead (lower risk, because your simcard will not be blocked even invalid code entered)

celcom-vodafone usb modem price at rm333, some dealer selling it with special price at rm299 only.. but usually u are required to sign up celcom broadband to get that special price..

yes, u can get price below rm300 at other shop.. average rm300 price is refering to latest small usb modem (like pendrive) provided by Celcom at their authorise dealer.

XOX is a totally MVNO, they do not need to invest anything to setup their own network, they are 100% rely on celcom network.. different with umobile, although they rely on celcom netwok only at location where they still dont have coverage, but at the same time they invest to expand their own infrastructure.. sooner or later they will not depending on celcom network anymore (i dont know wether they can survive or not until that time)

i saw XOX call rates is 36sen/min flat rates to any network.. but i dont know wether they already distribute the starterpack or not..

I wanna ask about the 5+1 plan, so 1 month I need to pay only RM5 for each supplementary line? How about the main line?

And also for those who are using this plan, are you guys satisfied with it?

Celcom has some of the worst prepaid plans. Except for UOX, their other plans are expensive compared to other telcos. Why have so many plans and confuse people?

haha, dunt know. but i personally so far dont have serious issue/problem with celcom CS. they're polite and treat all my complaint/feedback. the only problem is some of them is not really expert or have knowledge about celcom product. but the good thing is, i received free sms each time i give a complaint to them tongue.gif

last month i send complaint to them about celcom data service problem, then after it settle and the case is closed. they told me that they give me some free sms as to appreciate my complaint/feedback haha.. same goes a month before that (but i dont remember i complain for what at that time)

wht is da prob wif 0.45cents/min? digi n maxis also cost u 0.48cents/min n 0.49cents/min...u mobile is da cheapest i think only 0.42cents/min (0.7cents x 60secs) (excluded 20% of airtime bonus when you top up)...i think ~0.40cents/min is a normal rate 4 all telcos...

Hotlink is 35 sens while Digi is 36 sens. Both also flat rate. I dont see the logic in Celcom Blue call and sms rates. Xpax pulak has call rates like in late 90's. Celcom isn't very competitive when it comes to prepaid.

I have to admit though, their UOX plan is awesome. It made me, a loyal Maxis fan, switch to Celcom!

I come across Celcom website and interested with the Celcom Exec 50 Post paid plan. I wonder what they mean with Bundled Value? do we have to pay additional RM 50 for the voice usage no matter we use it or not, or the monthly commitment fee converted as a voice usage value

--------
CEP 50 user also enjoy the following rewards program:
- for bill rm60 get 10% discount
- for bill rm80 get 20% discount
- for bill rm150 and above get 30% discount

Does this discount applicable for total voice or also for the unlimited BlackBerry Service which is RM98/mth

thank you..

1. RM50 comitment fee will be converted as voice/sms/mms/video call or data (pay per use) usage or airtime..

2. the discount is calculated based on your total usage (voice/sms/mms/video call or data pay-per-use), but it apply to voice and sms only.

mean, for example if you are using voice/sms rm120, and other usage such as data (pay-per-use), or mms or video call rm40.. your total bill will become rm160, so u should get 30% discount because of having total bill above rm150..

but the 30% discount only cover your voice call and sms usage only, meaning your final bill will become (call/sms usage rm120 - 30% discount) + rm40 other usage = rm124 only thumbup.gif

NOTE: other monthly fixed fee are not included in total usage, for example itemised billing, any recurrent charges (call me tones, sms rescue, etc), and also data unlimited (d68, d98, or blackberry unlimited).

for me, currently yes.. in term of coverage, infrastructure, network capacity and network quality

the price too high maybe true for some product (such as Xpax, or Blue).. but for me Blue is not too expensive, just a little bit expensive..

but there lot of other segment celcom provide better plan compare to other operator,

- for example their postpaid CEP50 plan is among the cheapest and the most flexible plan available in town.
- also, not to mention about their corporate powertools plan that can be considered as the most popular corporate plan in malaysia and celcom leading in this segment with more than half milion corporate/business users..
- celcom also have the highest blackberry subscribers in south east asia so far..
- the UOX/SOX plan targeted to below 26 also among the cheapest plan available..
- they also leading in broadband service (more than 60% wireless broadband user in malaysia using Celcom Broadband) because of their affordable package and their widest coverage..
- in term of business, they is the only operator in malaysia currenly holding a record of profit and revenue growth for 11 consecutive quarter and no other operator break this record yet.

so, my opinion Celcom is the best operator in malaysia.. although they have some weakness in some part such as poor website, etc..

for me, currently yes.. in term of coverage, infrastructure, network capacity and network quality
the price too high maybe true for some product (such as Xpax, or Blue).. but for me Blue is not too expensive, just a little bit expensive..

but there lot of other segment celcom provide better plan compare to other operator,

- in term of business, they is the only operator in malaysia currenly holding a record of profit and revenue growth for 11 consecutive quarter and no other operator break this record yet.

so, my opinion Celcom is the best operator in malaysia.. although they have some weakness in some part such as poor website, etc..

its not a scam, its a SPAM.. and the service is not provide by Celcom. Celcom gateway only start with 2XXXX, any sms sent to 3XXXX is subject to third party company, so beware..

but uox have some advantages, such as 8pax got 10sen/min call and half cent sms.. and also uox got data plan daily and weekly, free careline service, etc..

Hi
im facing problem connecting to celcom broadband with csl modem.

Just now.. i bought a Celcom BLUE which is reloaded with rm20 airtime. Then, i straightly subscribe to WEEKLY BROADBAND UNLIMITED package costs RM20.
When i tried connecting to both 3G/GPRS profiles(everything else running well celcom 3g full bars, can view messages and contacts inside the sim), it shows 'DIAL FAILED PLS TRY AGAIN" error.

anyone know what causes the error? is it because its only normal BLUE pack which isn't rm68 basic broadband package can connect via modem or wat?

the different is the Speed D68 package is capped at 384kbps and D98 speed up to 3.6mbps.If u are wan download or search things more fast get d98 or just normal use d68 is enough anyway u can try d68 1st when u feel the speed not enough fast go celcom center change to d98 that easy way

1. Wrong answer, Celcom Point (Lowyat), and Celcom BlueCube (Lowyat), and Celcom BlueCube (Sg Wang) also accepting bill payment..
2. Its if over 26, not 18..

Both have usage limit 5GB per month

after that,
D68 will be throttled to speed 64kbps
D98 will be throttled to 128kbps

Bro, to be honest, if your dad makes alot of calls, better use Digi Prepaid or Hotlink. Way cheaper. If you still would prefer to stay with Celcom, go for Celcom Blue for flat rates and also 20 friends and family number.

Xpax is not flat rate when comes to other operator. I remember calling a friend in Selangor(i am from KL), within 5-7 minutes my RM10 gone because he was on Digi! Celcom Blue atleast you know flat rate 45 sens to anyone. Hotlink is flat rate 35 cents btw. U Mobile prepaid is 48 sens per minute. Digi is best because 36 sens and plus 30 seconds block.

wanna know about new xpax rate...
can somebody clarify this since celcom website like ****
QUOTE
Celcom's targets youth segment with 15 pax, data

Kuala Lumpur, 16 May- Celcom yesterday announced that their prepaid plan, Xpax will allow users to call their 15 favorite numbers (15pax)for 12 sen a minute, while each text message to Celcom and non-Celcom numbers will cost half a sen and six sen respectively.
As for normal, non-15pax call rates, the new plan allows customer to calls at 38 sen a minute, while each text message will cost 10 sen.
The plan allows customers to register for up to two years before credit expiry. The starter pack is priced at RM 8.50, with RM5 airtime. The Xpax has daily unlimited data plans at RM6 daily, customers can also opt for the weekly RM20 plan.

The revamp came as Celcom plans’ target the youth segment, and throughthat take the number one spot in the local telco market. Celcom CEO,Dato’ Sri Shazalli Ramly said that the youth has more demands and notjust voice or text services, and that their need to virtual socialisation will require Celcom to adapt their strategies.

1- 1st para did they mean UOX or normal xpax?
2- can register maxis, digi, u-mobile number in 15pax?
3- call 38sen/min flat whole malaysia to any telco or just for celcom only?
4- how about existing plan (lite, mid, max)?

u need register the sim first. unless u register, u number is not in service. not in celcom system.
register done by celcom dealer not user.
after register, active before expire date. first call will active your number. then u have 30 days validity.
