i have the tok tok sound on front and rear...could be the welding spot.

btw, u did not provide link la?
*
Check the sound on stabalizer link if you are only having this sound on rough terrain. the stabilizer link always give the problem. Look for the Japan 1 cos it's re-oilable. =)

After 10-20mins driving, the radiator starts to heat up there it goes the problem. It does make me wonder the temp shown in your gauge is the true reading, the reason I said so is coolant really does the job well by reducing temp real fast. I meant real fast is referring to alittle moving air is good enough to bring down the temp while your car probably is suffering a intermittent fan, thermostat, water pump failure.

remove what?

remove the thermostat, the thermostat will open up to allow more water to circulate in the engine in certain temperature.

i removed the one in my 4G15, plan to remove the cam-tak-pro ones..

i installed the ATF cooler, a chop shop unit (toyota one), now change of gears feels smoother...

removing the thermostat means that your radiator will be continuosly running once you switch on your ignition?

After installing the ATF cooler, did u floor it to see is there any different in performance?

Guys,

I own a Waja 2003 4G18. Lately everytime I switch the air-con on after a few hours not using hte car I get a musty odour from the air-con vent for the first 20 seconds or so. As far as I know - waja does not have the air-con cabin filter... Anyone have any Idea what can cause this.........and how to solve.

not the radiator fan thermostat lah, i mean the water routing thermostat. after u start ur car, the water only route certain part of the engine only to allow quick warm up, after that, the thermostat will open up to allow water to be routed to more area.

yes, after the ATF cooler installation, i find it easy to rev up. easily climb up 6K ~ 7K rpm. when down hill, the down shift will not kick in too soon.
